Almost a 5 hour (at least 6 miles) round trip hiking in Yellowstone. This is not a super popular trail especially if you are regular tourists. We hiked from lower fall all the way to 4R1 and then hiked back to artist point right around sunset and then back to lower fall. It was exhausting but when you see such beautiful and quiet view, you forgot about your tiredness and everything is worthy for it. And I was glad I brought my big camera with me:) It's heavy but it's good! A lot of times, I was focusing on finding a good place to take a good photo but I forgot to enjoy the trip. This hike helped me focusing on experiencing the journey and then take the photo!

An art studio in town recently caught my attention. It definitely was worthy of a quick shot! When I looked closely, however, I was struck by all the amazing reflections I could see in the windows of the building and the one of the mural in a nearby car window.

It may be mid-teen temperatures and 20+mph winds, but that isn't stopping me from braving the cold for some pictures! With a hefty train in tow for Cadwell, Shelbyville, etc, the UP LSB54 gains speed after slowing for a northbound grain train to enter Tuscola siding. Crew members Strubinger and Garfield will soon be hopping out and braving the cold to perform their duties for the day. This weather doesn't stop the railroad!

Normally this is such a green place. Now, no green, barren trees and the ponds were partially frozen. At first I didn't think it was very picture worthy, but the more I look at it the more I like the contrast. And what at first seem so bland, I now see there is a beautiful pop of red from the branches of the vine maples.

Again the rain scattered across the flowers
Crystal sparks of dawn.
The color of the rainbow is playing there,

It will then eventually go away, diminish, being lightened up, being put back to the place or person where it originally belonged

I love lighthouses
They are there for guidance and help on your way
I have my own lighthouse, it's there for support and love
It contains love from special loved ones, but the most important is the love I have for myself
Giving me a safe shelter when I have needed it

Story:
The Iguazu Falls illuminated by the full moon on a night worthy of one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World.
This image was captured from the top viewpoint of the Iguaçu Falls, near Garganta do Diabo, the heart of the Iguaçu National Park.
Despite the Falls having only 40% of the normal flow at the time of this capture, which greatly reduces the spray from the waterfalls, it was still possible to record a beautiful lunar rainbow (Moonbow) just ahead of Salto Santa Maria, the main waterfall on the Brazilian side of the Iguaçu National Park.
Moonbow is a natural phenomenon that occurs when the light of the moon refracts and reflects off water droplets in the air, creating a rainbow-like arc of colors. Like a rainbow, a moonbow displays a range of colors, including red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet, but the colors are usually much fainter due to the dimmer light of the moon.
Moonbows are most commonly seen at night, especially during a full moon, when the moon is bright enough to illuminate the water droplets. They are typically seen in areas with high humidity and where there is a source of falling water, such as a waterfall or a fountain. Moonbows are relatively rare and require specific weather conditions, including a clear sky and enough moisture in the air to create the water droplets needed to refract and reflect the light of the moon.

With art worthy of any museum in the world, the wall of Buckskin Gulch is admired by Moment’s Notice. As with Paria Canyon into which it flows, Buckskin Gulch is composed of Navajo Sandstone, deposited as massive sand dunes 200 million years ago. Water has carved what is considered the longest slot canyon in the Colorado Plateau (and perhaps anywhere), approximately 12 miles/ 19 km long, as narrow as 4 feet/ 1.2 m wide, with walls as high as 500 feet/ 150 m. Wind, water, and gravity have sculpted the canyon walls into beautiful forms and textures, with desert varnish adding some lovely streaks, illuminated here by sunlight reflected from the adjacent wall.
