People pay a lot of money to have furniture painted to look well worn and chipping like this fence was. But this one was au natural. It stands out in this town of well kept fences and lawns.

Sometimes summer roads are two thin and parallel lines cresting hills among farmers fields. Here, a sign, hand scratched and placed, directs what little traffic there is to the right.

The road to the left, more used and worn, empties into a wheatfield, newly planted. He actually moved the official road (probably himself). Previously, the main road bisected his crop. Now, it skirts the edge of his property.

I would like to return and get a better photo. But for now let this serve as a reminder.

Amtrak’s North Coast Hiawatha rolls to a stop at Winona, MN on 11-10-1973, just over half a century ago!! Twenty-three year old battle worn Big Sky Blue ex Great Northern EMD F7A leads a rainbow of colors on a consist typical of Amtrak’s early years. A steam generator car with the orange stripe keeps the passengers warm.

This Stang shows a lot of wear and tear ,but you can also see the pride in ownership and sense the joy that the owner takes and driving this classic. Cars are meant to be driven, used but not abused...

Jetty close to Marstrand, worn by sea, wind and ice during the years.

These abandoned storage huts still stand albeit, tilted from age. The worn paint gives up their age and a line in the snow directs our view. Against a blue Alberta sky, this is a sight seen all over since these stand unused, replaced with alternated methods.

A typical timber train from Alavus is soon passing through Haapamäki with neat looking Dv12s. Class Dv12 diesel hydraulic locomotive number 2658 is leading the train and its appearance sparks attention due to its rough liver as the world down machine continues its duty.

8177 look rather worn out and 8136 looking remarkably spiffier, pass through Picton with 2293 empty stone train to Lynwood Quarry from Maldon cement works.

Located outside of Eltopia, Washington and a short distance off of Hwy 395 is a no longer standing farmhouse. Remaining is a tired old windmill and what I believe is some type of pump.
