the beautiful city of the great inca empire.

really awesome place and great historical aspects. visit this place beacause it's one of the seven wonders of the world for a reason!

The Iron Lady is the most common nickname for the Eiffel Tower.

While the name, the “Eiffel Tower”, entered the common language at the time of its inauguration, its female nature appeared more gradually over the 20th century. Of course, it can be traced back to the fact that the noun “tour” or tower in French is feminine. And if we add a bit of anthropomorphism, we can see that the monument’s four pillars, also known as legs or feet, are covered with a lacy “skirt”, from the mesh structure enhanced with fine decorative arches between the pillars.

As a symbol of the arrival of iron, industry and science, the Eiffel Tower can also be seen to be in an atypical conversation with another lady of Paris, her Gothic older sister and symbol of religion, Notre-Dame.

In the 1930s, when the Tower was nearing 50 years old, various nicknames flourished in the press and publications: “the Tall Lady”, “the Tall Beautiful Lady”, then “the Tall Iron Lady”, sometimes, remarking on her age, it was “the Old Iron Lady”... However, it was simply “the Iron Lady” which stuck and was picked up particularly by the press.

Chichen Itza was one of the largest Maya cities and it was likely to have been one of the mythical great cities, or Tollans, referred to in later Mesoamerican literature. The city may have had the most diverse population in the Maya world, a factor that could have contributed to the variety of architectural styles at the site.

The Temple of Kukulkan is the large pyramid that dominates the Chichen Itza Archaeological Zone. It is also known as “El Castillo” or “The Castle”. All 4 sides of the pyramid have 91 steps plus the top platform (the final “step”) adds up to 365—the number of days in the year. It is 79 feet (24 meters) tall and is very well-preserved.

Acueducto de Segovia

It was built around the first century AD to channel water from springs in the mountains 17 kilometres (11 mi) away to the Roman city's fountains, public baths and private houses, and was in use until 1973. At Plaza de Díaz Sanz, the structure makes an abrupt turn and heads toward Plaza Azoguejo. It is there the monument begins to display its full splendor. At its tallest, the aqueduct reaches a height of 28.5 m (93 ft 6 in)

Tempio di Nettuno or Herra

Second temple of Hera or Temple of Poseidon Built in the Doric order around 460–450 BC, just north of the first Hera Temple. This temple is aligned with a double peaked mountain to the east. Considered to be sacred by the Greeks.

This Temple resembles the Temple of Zeus at Olympia. With the other temples at Paestum it's one of the best preserved early Greek temples.

No prizes for guessing where or what .

When we arrived at the Great Wall, we were told that to the right was hard going but to the left was even harder ! I took one look to see the hordes going right & decided left for me . It was quite hard going , with some steep sections but my Cycling- conditioned legs managed well. It was amazing to find so few people ,after a little while . Taken on one of the steep sections & if you enlarge ,you can see the contrasting hordes on the right section.

Early morning mist is quite common in autumn. Hiking this viewpoint was both tricky & risky.

For that reason you won't see pictures taken from here. The postcard you often see is taken by helicopter.

Holidays are coming so i will submitt more travel images, as well replace by larger versions.

One of the wonders of the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Machu Picchu was built by the Inca of Peru mostly in the 15th century. It was an estate of the emperor built for nobility and worship because it is surrounded by protector spirit mountains. The extensive terracing around the city was for farming. There were still temples under construction when it was interrupted by the Spanish invasion.

Machu Picchu is actually the name of the highest peak in the immediate vicinity which behind the viewer in this shot, and literally means "old peak" or even "old person" since the Inca considered these peaks to be protector or guardian spirits. The large grey granite massive to the right of the frame is called the "young peak," Huayna Picchu. The site lies between the two peaks.

The falls on river Iguazu (Iguacu), shared by Brazil and Argentina, is the most majestic natural phenomenon that I have ever seen with my own eyes. To call this site a 'waterfall', even the greatest one in the world, is the same as to call a nuclear bomb explosion a mere clap. The power and majesty of Nature here are so indisputable and impregnable, that was gasping in amazement despite all the information I have read and even the photos I have seen prior to my visit. Nothing in the world can prepare a man to the feelings he will experience upon seeing the true World Wonder!

Just like an enormous dragon spiralling up and down across grasslands, mountains, and deserts over the dusks of Autumn, the UNESCO World Heritage site, Great Wall of China glitters during the months of fall. Feel the aura of the country's breeze and the dramatic nightfall's in this pleasant atmosphere..

Favorite moments of 2015. Tried to process all new images but i guess i failed terribly. Did what I could, sorry it will take a while to load, best viewed on iPhone. :) Hope you enjoy. Happy Holidays and of course Happy 2016! :)

Iguazu Falls, 2nd largest waterfall in the world, definitely made Niagara Falls look tiny. Was in the middle of some rainstorm during the time we were there, hence the large amount of tea flowing through the Iguazu river (i meant muddy water). There's a boardwalk that brings you to Devil's Throat on the bottom right of the picture. Comes with a free muddy water shower. haha took a walk on the boardwalk, other than being completely soaked, we could barely see anything :D
