Its a bugger when you put your gloves down... then they get blown away onto the ground 15 metres below.

That's working on cranes for you.

Men abseil down the glass face of The Impressive new Shard skyscraper in central London.

Had a chance to photography Cheshire Fire Bridge in work yesterday. They abseiled down the inside of the tower from top to bottom.....I couldn't even look over the edge without my tummy going funny. Great friendly bunch of guys really enjoyed the challenge, thanks lads :)

Workers climbing a pylon

This lovely church and its spire taken from the top of a 60 metres set of flats near Campden in West London.

These mean are fitting (or replacing) an antenna on the roof of a building.

There is an airport nearby, so the trucks can't be tested higher than 15 meters without warning lights

Let's us a metal hole cutter to create a hole.

Let's not worry about the swarf (small pieces of metal) that will float down onto people below. What a silly banana!

In the background is the "Transbordador Aeri del Port" or "Port Cable Car".

"The entire journey lasts approximately seven minutes and the car moves continuously throughout the trip. Mid-way through the journey the cable car travels through a central tower- the Torre de Jaume I - breath a swift sigh of relief before continuing on your journey."

All of the firefighters in this picture work on Skelmersdale’s Stinger on a whole time basis.

Couple of electricity workers climbing a pylon.

I'm sure this scaffolding is safe and secure, but it certainly doesn't look it.

How do you get off the ladder onto the platform? There is no gap.

Note the absence of rain water guttering.

Everyone moans about the Health and Safety in the UK mainly due to its poor interpretation. However, laws and regulations were introduced for one very good reason - no one should die while performing their work. Simple as that.
