I'm using today as a chance to attempt to catch up on my huge backlog of photos I need to process including ones from a few years ago. I've also begun the task of reading up on histograms. I've never really paid much attention to it but now I realise that's probably been a huge mistake and has only added more time to the post-processing part of photography.
Workflow inspired by farbspiel-photo.com/learn/hdr-cookbook
- created an additional exposure from -2EV in camera raw -> -4EV
- saved input images as 16bit TIF files and fed those into photomatix pro
- sharpening in PSE
- different levels adjustments for sky and town in PSE
A Kanban board is a tool that services to visualize the workflow for any project. It offers high level of transparency, allowing everybody to understand the position of a project at a single look.
Kanban boards have become general in many businesses. They are usually used to authorize teamwork and manage business processes, as well as to organize private tasks. Boards can be extremely complex, with multiple columns, queues and types of events.
This is my latest digital workflow. I've got 2 different cameras, so depending on if I shoot raw or jpeg, there's two separate paths to take. Overly complex, for sure.
How do you manage your digital photo workflow?
1) Check out Camera with your HBHS ID Card
2) Check to make sure everything is in the camera bag and in good condition
3) Make sure the image quality is set to RAW
4) Erase all images (if needed)
5) SHOOT
6) Upload photos to the computer using Lightroom
7) Review Photos in Lightroom
8) Edit photos in Lightroom and/or Photoshop (if necessary)
9) Export image(s) from Lightroom to Flickr.
10) Add your image to our Flickr group and tag it with the tag listed in the directions in Canvas.
11) Copy and paste the direct url of your image from Flickr and submit it into Canvas.
12) Give yourself a high 5!

Le Suquet is the old quarter of Cannes, probably best known to tourists as the climbing, winding cobbled lane lined with local restaurants, Rue St Antoine. Le Suquet contains a clock tower and church that sit high facing east overlooking the Bay of Cannes and Cannes itself. At the bottom of Le Suquet on Rue Dr. P. Gazagnaire is the Marché Forville, where the market is held in the mornings and early afternoon.
This area is the original fishermans' residential area of Cannes. The houses are all very old. The streets were laid out at least 400 years ago. It is a 5-minute walk from the beach and is full of restaurants around the Rue Saint Antoine and the Rue du Suquet. A lot of the area is pedestrianised and is a major tourist attraction for visitors to Cannes.
The rue du Suquet is the original main road into Cannes. It came in below the walls of the castle (for defence reasons). It is a pedestrian street again and has plenty of restaurants [Wikipedia.org]
