To all my flickr friends - Just to let everyone know I'm not going to be around for a couple of weeks while I try and get myself into a routine based on worktime=work and playtime=play. Yes, I'm in flickr re-hab!
Look forward to seeing you all soon.
Shibuya is one of the most trafficated spots in Tokyo...which it's very meaningful! So I was amazed a bit when i found this young clerk stopping by in front of a glass in the subway station, taking a breath while the mob all around was running everywhere. So unusual!!!
A street artist appeared, as I was there, to add to the collection on the walls. Looks like he brought along at least 6 different paint cans to leave his mark.
Atomic Mushroom - Parisian Fire Breather
I really have to start a new set that's called "Paris You Are Missed!" Everyone knows that Paris is
one of the most magical cities in the world but what I love is how the people there absolutely love their art.
On a normal worktime lunch break, the average group of American men would discuss sports at least 65% of the time. I like sports and I'm not against that; however, I value my worktime lunches I had in Paris that were filled with discussions of photography. We'd talk about different photography styles, post processing, and I was frequently asked about the father of American photographers, Ansel Adams.
Several Parisian Flickrites meet to watch and take photographs of local fire breathers every Saturday. I was fortunate enough to be invited and I absolutely loved it.
One tip I can offer about shooting fire is that people tend to over expose (especially with a lot of ambient light). Set your camera to Manual mode and crank up the shutter speed. As you can see below, this shot was taken at 1/1250 of second.
Camera Data from this shot:
Camera: Nikon D3
Lens: Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8
F Stop: f/5.6
Shutter: 1/1250 of a second
ISO: 200

I got a job for one week as cultural ambassador and henna-artist by the Qatar-German-Open (see: www.german-open.org/ ). To represent Qatar I had to wear like some of other girls during worktime one of these splendid clothes. I was assigned to do henna on people who like it and in doing it to explain the cultural background of arabian henna.
This is in the old boarded up janitor's house at the Abbotsford Place School in Glasgow. The main building has been converted into offices but I have driven by the boarded up janitor's house many times over the years. Earlier this year I noticed that the steel shutters were off the front door so after the house visit I was doing nearby I popped in for a look. I liked the shape and colour and form of the carpeted treads here and the way the light from the front door highlighted them. Look closely and you'll spot pigeon egg fragments here and there.

This is half of our kitchen.
Please pardon the mess, normally I'd clear part of the table, or at least move the flowers that are sticking up behind the mirror.
A little repair job and selfie all in one. Natural light from the window. Camera triggered via PocketWizard II.
