The USAID Country Representative co-chaired the 9th Laos Business Environment (LBE) Project Review Committee (PRC) meeting with the @Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MOIC). The meeting reviewed the results of project implementation in 2024 across three project components: SME competitiveness, public-private collaboration, and trade facilitation and market economy. The meeting also discussed project workplan priorities for 2025. @USAID remains committed to continuing the collaboration with the Lao government to improve the climate for investment and trade and enhance the competitiveness of SMEs.

Co-creation meeting (August 30th) USAID AMPATH Uzima conducted an annual joint program performance review and work plan co-creation meeting with Trans Nzoia County. The project has adopted the country-led approach that brings together teams from the sub-county and county levels within program staff to collaboratively review progress, find solutions to challenges, identify best practice and develop costed workplans. The team ensures the plans are aligned to the annual joint workplans and the County Integrated Development Plans. County Health Department Directors Dr. Sammy Masibo, Dr. Nancy Masibo and Dr. Nancy Kegode led county and sub-county officers at the event. CEC Claire Wanyama attended one of the sessions and commended AMPATH for its strong partnership with the county.
