I went to our local Woolworth to see what they had for Halloween and I found myself being watched. Maybe I should confront this employee I thought and was stumped by the worried look. Is it possible redundancies are on the agenda?
PS: Until I went close to this skeleton (life size) I had no idea it had eyes, it was almost a bit scary

First day in New York. Standing in front of City Hall Park, looking up. Coming from region where the tallest building is roughly 90 meters (295 feet), walking in a city filled with these giants is quite impressive.
Back when i was tiny, which was a long, long time ago, me Mum used to take me here for a milkshake in the cafe at the back when she'd finished her shopping. Things have certainly changed a bit over the years.
Through much of the 20th century Woolworth's was a thriving and sprawling retail operation. Founder FW Woolworth popularized concepts like buying direcly from manufacturers, self-service selection of merchandise, and fixed prices. His "five and dime" stores were akin to America's contemporary dollar stores.
His customers were drawn by low prices but Woolworth himself was miserly and, reportedly not wishing to pay for dental care, succumbed to sepsis from a tooth infection.
Also in the mausoleum is his granddaughter Barbara Hutton, a woman of great wealth and very little happiness.
Cass Gilbert, 1913. THE classic Gothic skyscraper, it reigned as the world's tallest building for 17 years. The facade is a mix of terra cotta tile and limestone.
This is a very rare and awesome find, I honestly never knew this relic still existed at the Liberty Plaza!
