My first attempt at a still life desk shot. I found this challenging. I am very short and trying to get enough height for this one proved very challenging. I am not sure I am happy with this shot, but......here it is anyways. ;)
Burn the bridges to our broken hearts
Lying lonesome in the dark.
Begging for light.
Begging just to see again.
Long-up was her destiny,
Self-fulfilling prophecy where I wasn't there.
What was written in the omens
That we couldn't bear to read.
I don't wanna to know.
All that fear in my heart, I couldn't let you see it.
You didn't want to know.
Somewhere deep down, you know, I still believe
That you'll always be, the love of my life.
It's all coming back to me,
Roses on the breeze.
But you weren't there either, love.
Didn't notice the diving bell,
Didn't notice the water.
Those begging for air.
Begging just to breathe again
Sinking so fast, love,
And I didn't even know it.

Zeit für etwas "scary stuff". :D
Kurzfristig hatte ich überlegt, hier die Ostereier für dieses Jahr zu verstecken. Aber dann dachte ich an die viele, schöne Schokolade, die dort liegen bleiben würde. ;-)
Calke Abbey - the un-stately home.
Baroque-style mansion with peeling paintwork and abandoned rooms, portraying the dramatic decline of a country house estate.
I couldn't find out what happens to you if you do touch the creepy chair but I gave it a wide berth anyway, just to be on the safe side.
One of my attempts to Macro Monday’s theme party. I liked the layout, a little bit like knolling, and the free space to the right. At first I wanted to delete the photo, with the partial circle to the right, but after a second look this makes the photo from just photo a small eye catcher.
But it does not meet the size requirements
Actually the sweets are two time Toffifee and 2 x MON CHERI, the underground is a small bamboo shelf turned to side with an opening to take the paper placed inside out.

Walked into town today (8.5miles) with the idea of getting the bus back.
No bus back for 3 hours....

Welcome to low-end heaven. This tightly packed display of Bacchus bass guitars, spotted in a Tokyo music store, reads like a love letter to boutique craftsmanship at accessible price points. Made in Japan by Deviser, Bacchus is a brand celebrated for delivering hand-finished instruments with tonal punch, custom-shop looks, and smooth-as-butter playability—all without the eye-watering price tag of some boutique luthiers.
At the heart of this display are numerous Bacchus Handmade Series and Global Series basses, each flaunting its own distinct finish—from charcoal burst to natural ash and deep aqua quilt tops. The headstocks gleam under recessed lighting, while the gloss finishes play with reflections from the polished wood floors. There's a heavy lean into 5-string and 6-string territory here, a clear sign that this shop caters to serious players who need versatility, extended range, and modern tonal flexibility.
Architecturally, the display itself is an efficient labyrinth of sonic sculpture. The basses stand tightly packed but thoughtfully arranged, forming a visually rhythmic grid of tuner pegs, fingerboards, and tonal variety. The shop’s lighting design—cool ceiling spots over warm floor tones—gives the entire room a curated gallery feel.
This isn’t just a retail moment—it’s a snapshot of a culture that reveres craft. In Japan, even production-line instruments get attention to detail usually reserved for custom shops elsewhere. Whether you’re a slap-happy funk monster or a fingerstyle explorer, Bacchus offers a gateway into the boutique world that feels both grounded and elevated.
I wanted to make my new MacBook my own so I went online and bought a nice little decal for the cover. I thought this simple little design would tell a whole lot about me.

You crazy little personality full of mischief and mayhem. I'm pleased to see that at least one cat gets some use out of the toys littered about.
Yamas has the most wonderful of expressions for photographs.
More Indoor cat photography when you can't be assed to venture out as your nose streams a river.

Didn't want to over-do it with the effects on this one despite my fondness for what I've learnt. She's so wonderfully gorgeous I just want to snuggle her to pieces!
Myself, the couple, and the 5yr old all had great fun playing with, not 1, not 2, but 4 kittens! The couple caved so much they're going to take one once they're old enough!

Colorado Springs, CO - This is a beautiful home that was remodeled from the floor up. No surprisingly soon after the house hit the market it sold.
Colorado Springs, CO - This was an interesting photo-shoot; not just because it was of a custom build but it was also during a snow event. It was 10F and the wind was blowing about 20 mph (that's a -25F wind chill). Good thing it was nice and toasty inside.
