Waiting for crumbs on the boardwalk, this one was easy to capture for a change. We have many birds in our yard, however they flit here and there and fly away so fast I can't seem to get a photo with good clarity :)

Fear Of Porcelain Dolls (That Big Old Creepy Porcelain Doll)
- By Brittney Blais
That big old creepy porcelain doll
staring at me after all.
What if it will come alive,
that is something I dont thrive.
Just sitting there staring deeply,
oh my gosh that is so creepy.
Im scared that if im not nice,
it will eat me with a side of rice.
Oh no I hear it coming,
I guess its time for running.
Oh wait this is a nightmare,
I`ll wake up and be outta here.
So i wake up to see,
The doll is where its supposed to be,
Sitting there staring at me.

Lyrics from 'New Shoes' by Paulo Nutini
www.youtube.com/watch?v=1deZbUOzTQQ
These are my son's new shoes. I set this up last night so I could just click the shutter this morning (thanks to my friend Julie Meakins www.flickr.com/photos/113855704@N05/ for the tip) I had a very early start as I had to go into hospital for a minor op, nothing serious but I knew I'd be too wobbly to use the camera when I got home.
When I set the date on this camera I forgot to set the time, so it showed the wrong date (still showing in Exif info) but I really did take it on 16th! I hope I will be trusted on this one! I will take a blank shot to upload just in case it's requested, as I don't want to be out of the game at this stage because of my oversight...that's what happens when you get up and take a photo far too early! :( I have (or rather my husband has) amended the time now.
I will try to stay awake long enough to leave a few comments this evening, if not I will catch up soon.

14/365: I bought the bias binding in a lovely little vintage craft shop in Melbourne, so it brings back wonderful memories. I've been wanting to use my bonsai scissors that I bought around Christmas time so put a few other bits on my suitcase to try to get my pic reasonably early in the day. It's another dull day here so there wasn't much chance of getting anything outside.
A thong of this slippers are red, my favourite. Now this is fourth generation and looking for a fifth:)
The first one was in 2014 and this photo is from that time.

HAPPY SLIDERS SUNDAY!
Abstract Reality.
I have previously uploaded photos of the peculiar, curtained sunlight patterns that are produced daily on my bed in summer.
This time, for context, I included my feet, standing at the foot of the bed while taking this photo,
The dark blue is the fitted sheet covering my bed. The blue stripes are the sunlight filtered through the net curtain covering my bedroom window. The circular object is the printed cover of my bed pillow,
I used my sliders heavily to overcome the dynamic range limitations of my iPhone 12 camera. This lets us see the huge range of colors present.

After several days of cloud and rain, when I visited Lews Castle the sun came out and shone through the large windows of the ballroom. With the bright chandeliers, the grand piano and the light streaming in windows and painting the wooden floor, it was a sight to delight the eye. Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, Scotland.

HAPPY SLIDERS SUNDAY !!
This is an explanatory version of the last photo that I posted to Sliders Sunday. Some people had expressed skepticism that a bedroom window had created an astract reality image all by herself with no help from me.
So I waited until my window did it again.
This time I included the window herself in my photo..
Of course, she took advantage of the unmade bed's blue bottom sheet and the nice mellow-tan tone of the wood floor. But that is what a creative artist does when necessary--work with the materials at hand.
All I did was go hard with my sliders to make the image look to you as much as possible like what I saw with my eyes.

I really appreciate your comments and faves. I'm not a hoarder of contacts, but enjoy real-life, honest people. You are much more likely to get my comments and faves in return if you fit the latter description. Just sayin. :oD

Bang Phlat District in Bangkok, Thailand, by the Chao Phraya river, is known for its riverside temples like Wat Awut Wikasitaram, a centuries-old royal monastery adorned with golden nāgas guarding the ornate entrance. There's a bustling food market on the street around nearby Wat Panu Rangsi, while ChangChui Creative Park has trendy cafes among its contemporary art installations and a monthly food and craft fair. The green Rama VIII Park has jogging trails and a playground.
