Spent the night by the lake in a lowland, got out an hour before dawn from the tent. The fog is so dense that even the fingers on an outstretched hand are not visible, just gray nothing. Condensate flows down from the tent in a stream, the cold is terrible. I made tea and sat down to wait for dawn, hoping that the sun would disperse the fog. How wrong I was ... The fog was there almost until 11 o'clock in the afternoon.
Nothing special in the photo, just the fog

CDV portrait of an unknown woman taken by the photographer Ester Andersson in either Gnösjö or Värnamo (here written with the older spelling Wernamo - it's the same pronunciation though). Ester Andersson was obviously a successful photographer since she had studios in two towns working in tandem. The date 1915 is stamped on the photo itself.
Hiked to a sweet little waterfall in the desert. The next photo is labeled "moderate" since I needed to cool off and that can't be revealed to just everybody on Flickr!

Well, I tried to capture the magic of the snow that was falling. I made this little snow-woman and she kept falling apart so when I fixed her the last time I forgot to readjust her arms so now she's a bit awkward. I still had to post this though because on top of her hat you can see the shape of an actual snowflake, magic! May you find a little magic where ever life takes you today.
PS I fashioned her hat this morning with one of the felted sweaters I shrunk a few weeks ago.

"Witchy Woman" By The Eagles
Raven hair and ruby lips
Sparks fly from her fingertips
Echoed voices in the night
She's a restless spirit on an endless flight
Woo hoo witchy woman,
See how high she flies
Woo hoo witchy woman
She got the moon in her eye
She held me spellbound in the night
Dancing shadows and firelight
Crazy laughter in another room
And she drove herself to madness with a silver spoon
Woo hoo witchy woman
See how high she flies
Woo hoo witchy woman
She got the moon in her eye
Well, I know you want a lover,
Let me tell you, brother,
She's been sleeping in the Devil's bed.
And there's some rumors going round
Someone's underground
She can rock you in the nighttime
'Til your skin turns red
Woo hoo witchy woman
See how high she flies
Woo hoo witchy woman
She got the moon in her eye

"Pretty woman, walkin' down the street
Pretty woman the kind I like to meet
Pretty woman I don't believe you, you're not the truth
No one could look as good as you, mercy
Pretty woman won't you pardon me
Pretty woman I couldn't help but see
Pretty woman that you look lovely as can be
Are you lonely just like me
Pretty woman stop awhile
Pretty woman talk awhile
Pretty woman give your smile to me
Pretty woman yeah, yeah, yeah
Pretty woman look my way
Pretty woman say you'll stay with me
'Cause I need you, I'll treat you right
Come with me baby, be mine tonight
Pretty woman don't walk on by
Pretty woman don't make me cry
Pretty woman don't walk away, hey, OK
If that's the way it must be, OK
I guess I'll go on home, it's late
There'll be tomorrow night, but wait
What do I see?
Is she walkin' back to me?
Yeah, she's walkin' back to me
Oh, oh, pretty woman."

We spent 3 days in Huangyao…which has been turned into a preserved ancient village by the government.
While we were there many Chinese woman came to be photographed. None of them were professional models… They would first go to a shop to get made up in their tribe’s original formal outfit. Then they are given a brief intro on how to pose…
They would find wonderful backgrounds and encourage anyone with a camera to take their picture. Obviously, I overdosed over the 3 days and took many pictures of them. Here is one example…
You could buy me diamonds
You could buy me pearls
Take me on a cruise around the world
Baby you know I'm worth it
Dinner lit by candles
Run my bubble bath
Make love tenderly to last, to last
'Cause baby you know I'm worth it
Wanna please wanna keep wanna treat your woman right
Not just dough but to show that you know she is worth your time
You will lose if you chose to refuse to put her first
She will if she can find a man who knows her worth
'Cause a real man, knows a real woman when he sees her
And a real woman knows a real man ain't afraid to please her
And a real woman knows a real man always comes first
And a real man just can't deny a woman's worth
If you treat me fairly
I'll give you all my goods
Treat you like a real woman should
Baby I…
Pretty woman
I don't believe you you're not the truth
No one could look as good as you
