Spent the night by the lake in a lowland, got out an hour before dawn from the tent. The fog is so dense that even the fingers on an outstretched hand are not visible, just gray nothing. Condensate flows down from the tent in a stream, the cold is terrible. I made tea and sat down to wait for dawn, hoping that the sun would disperse the fog. How wrong I was ... The fog was there almost until 11 o'clock in the afternoon.

Great moment captured in Agonda, India, of this woman walking over rocks and the sun seemingly setting on her hed. A very special capture of a beautiful scene. Her pose is almost puppet like with her hands stretched out and her rucksack on her back.
Herero women In Namibia can be recognized by their colourful dresses. They are skilled at sewing clothes and other garments. They sew clothes, often using a combination of hand-sewing and sewing machines.
Adapted from European fashion in the Victorian period, the style of the dress is now regarded as a cultural tradition.
The dresses are worn with a cloth headdress that symbolize cattle horns, and a point of much pride.
The Herero people are traditionally cattle-herding pastoralists or make a living as merchants and artisans.

We spent 3 days in Huangyao…which has been turned into a preserved ancient village by the government.
While we were there many Chinese woman came to be photographed. None of them were professional models… They would first go to a shop to get made up in their tribe’s original formal outfit. Then they are given a brief intro on how to pose…
They would find wonderful backgrounds and encourage anyone with a camera to take their picture. Obviously, I overdosed over the 3 days and took many pictures of them. Here is one example…
