Timber Wolves have patterns that many people can easily associate with a wolf. Again these are big animals that you want to keep at a good distance or atleast when they are well feed and not really interested in you.

Location from: Rocky Mountain region
Other: This was a captive breeding male, housed in what was likely a zoo-stock facility. He died at the age of 5 from a currently unknown to me health issue. Has some post-mortem tooth enamel damage, but otherwise a relatively strong-boned individual.
Species Info: Wolves are social, family-oriented individuals that travel in family groups. This group consists of two mates and their offspring, with pack numbers ranging from 6 to 15 individuals. They are large, stocky animals who feed on ungulates and small mammals, as well as sometimes fish, carrion, and human trash. Despite their long history with humans where they often play the villain, wolves are often quite shy if not fearful of humans and attacks are rare.
Their range includes both the New World and Old World. Their current territories are Michigan, Wisconsin, Montana, Idaho, Minnesota, Wyoming, and Arizona as well as the majority of Canada and Eurasia. Environments can vary for the wolf due to different location factors, but they can live in desert, forest, valley, or arctic habitat.

His name is Hawaiian meaning “BRAVE ONE.” Kekoa came from the Seacrest Wolf Preserve in Florida with this sister Sakara. Kekoa has a SWEET PERSONALITY and loves to greet visitors with wolf kisses. When he puts his paws on a person’s shoulders he TOWERS AT ABOUT 7 FEET. He is a handsome young male best known for this THICK, SILVER-GRAY MANE and striking appearance.
Shadow, a two month old Grey Wolf, enjoys some rare snowfall at the San Diego Zoo. Just kidding. The blue and white background is actually a floor matt in the Zoo's nursery.
The timber wolf is a sociable animal who lives in a pack of a high hierarchy. Only the dominant male and his female, who form a loyal couple, can reproduce. The wolves hunt in packs, following an actual strategy. They spot their prey (usually a weak, young or old, or sick animal), circle it and then attack. These wolves used to be found all over North America, however with excessive hunting and the destruction of their habitat, their population was reduced in Canada. Nonetheless, the wolf is present in the entire province of Quebec except for the extreme south.
