A long awaited reveal in a way, I’d announced that 85 (Ex Walkers 125) was going to be painted some time ago, initially I had plans for it to be something else but I had decided to stick to a livery I know how to paint. Plus I’d wanted a Solar in this livery as I’d chosen to paint other solar 82 into midland classic colours last year.
These are quite good for painting as you can remove the roof and glazing away from the chassis, so the windows can be masked up easier. The only problem is the door comes off loose, and repainting that was a bit of a faff hence the squiggly line on the right side of the door.
I really like the front wheel trims on this example, it has a perfect balance of black and silver in my opinion.
Another similar shot to the one I posted earlier, but this time on of the wolves holds another's muzzle with his mouth!

Tala is a curious female who comes when called, loves belly rubs, and happily overwhelms people with puppy kisses. Tala is best known for being first at the fence for treats on tours and for sleeping in a 75 gallon water tub.
I photographed these gorgeous wolves while visiting the Lakota Wolf Preserve. This was definitely a challenging photo excursion because of how brutally cold it was. There were also two sets of fences that I needed to shoot through. Luckily I used a zoom lens and was able to eliminate the chain-links.
In Canada there are about 40.000 wolves, but they want to exterminate them in order to protect the moose. They kill them also from the helicopters. Wolves need the care of the mother for the first month.

These photos were taken one week before five of the six wolves escaped. One returned to the enclosure, one was shot with a tranquiliser dart but three had to be shot by marksmen. Unfortunately, an anaesthetic dart takes 15 minutes to take effect and may not work at all in a stressed animal so the wolves that were a danger to the public had to be shot. Very sad, beautiful animals, just doing what wolves do.
Info on Keoka from Colorado wolf and wildlife center's iPhone app: KEKOA is a Timber Wolf born in April of 2007 and weighs approximately 115 lbs. His name is Hawaiian meaning “BRAVE ONE.” Kekoa came from the Seacrest Wolf Preserve in Florida with this sister Sakara. Kekoa has a SWEET PERSONALITY and loves to greet visitors with wolf kisses. When he puts his paws on a person’s shoulders he TOWERS AT ABOUT 7 FEET. He is a handsome young male best known for this THICK, SILVER-GRAY MANE and striking appearance.

Hanging out at the International Wolf Center this morning. The wolves were pretty quiet except for a few moments of playing around.
