The Wolverine Hotel in Boyne City, Michigan opened in 1912. In 1935 Wesley Dilworth bought the hotel and renamed it the Dilworth. It later became and Wolverine-Dilworth Inn and remained open until 2008.
The hotel is on the National Register of Historic Places.
He was actually hanging out with a little girl dressed as Rogue. We missed getting the shot though. :(

Costumes from Dragon Con 2004. This picture cracks me up, but I really don't know why. Probably because it looks like the role of Wolverine is being played by Andy Kaufman.

Chris Reytens is riding my wheel during the Wolverine 200 in 1986. Picture by his dad.
The Wolverine 200 is a 24 hour "bicycle marathon" in which the participants try to ride the most number of miles. Goals are set at 25, 50 , 100 or 200 (of course) miles. Up until the mid 1990s, the Wolverine 200 used to draw more than 2,000 participants with thousands more camping in support. The now defunct Detroit Grand Prix put serious limitations on the course and particpation has shrank to 400-500 people a year.
(Sorry about the poor picture quality; I was using a snapshot camera.)
