My brother and I walked from the Prairie bridge to the Sauk bridge, on the Columbia-Dane county side.

Wet, raining at cold, but my Becky and I had a great weekend of birding on the Wisconsin River. We counted 7 eagles. This one was on a very raining sand dune in Portage Wisconsin off of West Edgewater St. We also saw hawks, and Junco oh and we saw not one but 2 snowy owls at Horicon!

The county was created October 1, 1818 and named after Fort Crawford which had been named for William Harris Crawford who was a US Senator from GA, president pro tempore in 1812, US Secretary of War 1815-16 and US secretary of the Treasury 1816-25.
