LAWYERS, GUNS, AND MONEY: Suffolk County District Attorney Dan Conley briefs the media on a wiretap investigation that yielded 10 illegal handguns, more than 5 kilos of heroin, and upwards of $80,000 in cash. "One would have to go back to the days of the Mafia, when the wiretap statute was last updated, to find a more effective use of telephone intercepts to climb the rungs of a criminal ladder," Conley said.
According to researchers from the New England Historic Genealogical Society, George Dubya Bush and Barack Hussein Obama are 10th cousins, once removed, and linked together by Samuel Hinkley of Cape Cod, who died in 1662.

... but isn't this illegal under the 4th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America? Or did someone change the name and we're now called Amerika?
Just asking.
Zandar pulls out a device from his pocket and flips it open!
Ripper: 'Oi! What the flippin' heck is that?'
Zandar: 'It's a phone!'
Ripper: 'It's a phone?'
Ripper stands, clearly confused and trying to figure out the joke...
Ripper: 'Cor, I don't get it.'
Roadpig comes forward.
Roadpig: 'It is a mobile phone, you imbecilic troglodyte. A cellular phone, if you will.'
Ripper: 'It's got no wires!'
Tired of his cohort's stupidity, Buzzer pushes past Ripper.
Buzzer: 'Shut up, mate.'
Buzzer studies the phone in Zandar's hand.
Buzzer: 'That's no normal phone, is it?'
Zandar: 'No, it isn't. It is, and always has been, my lifeline.'
Ripper: 'Oi! Lifeline is a bleedin' Joe!'
Even more tired than Buzzer of Ripper's stupidity, Roadpig finds the answer to Ripper's constant interruptions; a cinder block to the face. Ripper falls to the ground unconscious.
Zandar: 'To see the things that I have seen over the past day, Dreadnoks... it would be criminal had I not recorded it. This is WiretapV20 and I have had him with me the entire time. I am sending Megatron all the information he needs.'
Gnawgahyde: 'Information about what?'
Zandar: 'The TARDIS!'
From bootlegging across state lines, the establishment of the FBI, wiretaps and Tommy guns, Vegas gambling, to Tony Soprano, America's fascination with gangsters has been strong for decades. This museum is really well done, and I recommend to anyone!
Dear Huffington Post,
As registered "Citizen Reporters," we attempted to attend the Tea Party in Boston Common this evening. It was supposed to be happening from 5-7, but by the time we got there, around 5:20, there were no protesters. However, the trash cans of the Common provided evidence they had been there:
#01:
“Your Choice/1776 or 1984” and “A GOVERNMENT BIG ENOUGH TO GIVE YOU EVERYTHING YOU NEED IS BIG ENOUGH TO TAKE IT ALL AWAY by Thomas Jefferson”
#02
“Close D.C. SAVE A COUNTRY!”
#03
“RON PAUL/HOPE FOR AMERICA/Be a part of it”
#04
Abandoned signs on the walking path through the Common.
We talked to a woman canvassing for a group that works with foster kids, who told us that she had seen the tax people boarding busses and had heard that they were headed to the harbor. We figured that since we didn’t know where along the harbor they would be, we would just call it a night and head down to our apartment in the North End. On the way home, though, we stumbled into the wrap up of what must have been the formal dumping-of-the-tea-into-the-harbor at Christopher Columbus Park on the Waterfront. While the action was clearly over, there were a few memorable images of the denouement:
#05
The protesters, socializing. Most appeared to be energized by the event.
#06
When I took his picture, this man seemed happy and said, “Finally, somebody likes me.” He was concerned that the mainstream media outlets present at the protest had not been eager to hear his message, which was “Down with both Parties.” His sign juxtaposes “Bush/ ‘Compassionate’ Conservative/War/Torture/Wiretaps/Bailouts/Trillion $ Deficits” with “Obama/ ‘Change’ we can believe in/War/Torture/Wiretaps/Bailouts/Trillion $ Deficits.”

This military family was relatively somber.

This woman was very pleased to show off her sign. Another woman laughed, "Isn't that a great sign?"

Again, the teabaggers left their mark on the public space.
Thanks for giving us an excuse to document this chilling moment in our country’s history. We are used to historical reenactments up here, but this was something else altogether.

BY THE WAY, "Little brother" by Cory Doctorow is one of my fave books. 8D Here's a quote from it:
“I'm 17 years old. I'm not a straight-A student or anything. Even so, I figured out how to make an Internet that they can't wiretap. I figured out how to jam their person-tracking technology. I can turn innocent people into suspects and turn guilty people into innocents in their eyes. I could get metal onto an airplane or beat a no-fly list. I figured this stuff out by looking at the web and by thinking about it. If I can do it, terrorists can do it. They told us they took away our freedom to make us safe. Do you feel safe?”

"Wireless networking and Bluetooth are becoming standards in the business world. This project will give students the knowledge to better understand these wireless transfer protocols, and expand their penetration testing knowledge and understanding. It will also serve as an informative document to network administrators of businesses that any information transferred wirelessly has the potential to be intercepted by third parties and to be read. This will include theft of data via Bluetooth, wireless cracking, and Bluetooth wiretapping. Watch a demonstration on now easy it is to steal phone numbers and even an entire phone book from another person's cell phone."

These days, all media in our country are making the same headline. It's all about the conflict between Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and National Police. Police accusing KPK was receiving bribe and also conducting authority misuse. But in the same time, KPK had a strong proof, a wiretapped phone conversations involving a National Police leader that indicated attempts to make a plot or fake case against KPK leaders.
They have their own convincing arguments.. Everyday you can see everyone making statements about this case.. And people are easily joining a group in Facebook to support one side, which now sums up more than 1 million member.. Wow..
I just got bored of this drama..

A visiting professor and scholar at the National Taiwan University in Taipei, Taiwan.
The photograph showed a female student from the National Taiwan University tearing a book titled "The Journey to Liberal Democracy", authored by her former professor and current premier of Taiwan, Jiang Yi-huah, at a protest on campus. The NTU students are accusing their former professor of selling out and going against everything he has been teaching in the classrooms on democracy and for condoning and supporting the forced eviction and demolition of citizens' homes, for wiretapping politicians, including Legislative members, and for labeling peaceful demonstrators at recent protests as "uncivilized". The students tore up Premier Jiang's book to demonstrate their disappointment to him and demanded him to step down.
