Yoko had no wireless in her apt, so we walked over to a VIPS, a family restaurant owned by WalMart and grabbed their wireless. This helped us plan our food adventure the next few days. And update my Facebook status, which is very important!!!
On a whim I decided to see what Wireless Networks were in my area. To my amusement, one was named "Vote Ron Paul". Thought Travis might get a kick out of this....

Raise your hand if your network connection was down so long at work today that you weren't able to access any of the online information you needed in order to complete a presentation for your executive VP tomorrow. Oh, right, that would be me raising my hand.
We're in the process of upgrading our network equipment, and in doing so, have acquired equipment without enough physical connections to support our building - but the equipment is of course "better". That fact alone isn't a huge deal if the wireless network we have set up is stable and doesn't drop off. That entails a certain amount of faith, and after today, I don't have much of it at the moment.
Last week, the IT team arbitrarily started disconnecting physical connections at desks. I was a casualty of that. My wireless worked fine, until 12:30pm today. From 12:30 until 4:30, when I left work to go to PT, I had no access to the network, because the wireless went down. Lovely.
So, here I am, at nearly 11pm, working on a presentation that should have been largely completed in the office this afternoon. Yay for network access.
