Copper Wire Wrapped Natural Labradorite Gemstone Pendant with Blue and Green Flash - Aurora Borealis Collection
A Japanese Maple Leaf has been hand dipped in copper and rose gold to be forever preserved as this beautiful pendant. I have added a tiny copper leaf charm, a paisley charm, and a turquoise Swarovski crystal teardrop charm all on copper wire and chain. The I strung them on a vintage copper necklace which is 23" long. It can be adjusted to your preferred length.
The leaf itself is just short of 2" long.
Finally! I'm done with this bracelet! I've been having a split creative personality lately which has made it hard for me to choose between sewing and jewelry. The pink pearl was sort of a last resort since no other beads I liked fit the ring but Ikind of like the look of it.
The Wire Artisans Guild’s monthly challenge for August – Africa. I know, I am late with this challenge. VERY late.
Do you like to fiddle with your jewellery? I know I do. I’m always playing with my necklaces … or my rings… or my earrings….or… This necklace with its tassel made with faceted rondelles of juicy carnelian and sterling silver wire, is the perfect “fiddle-necklace”.
Hand made from scratch, I started with making the “roof” using different gauges of sterling silver wire and then added the tassel made from ten different wire wrapped strands of colour shaded rondelles. From each “corner” of the roof, a short tendril of rondelles adds a little extra volume. On one side of the chain, I added one faceted briolette of Hessonite garnet. And when you run the strands between your fingers, they flow like sand on a beach. Very hard not to play with!
The chain is 67 cm (26.3”) and the pendant drops 8 cm (3.2”).
These are hammered copper frames with turquoise dogbones and copper beads wire wrapped. I love this style of earring and it is much fun to make.
