View of my wired little world. That power pole means the world to me!
Metered the sky and ended up with this. I liked it.
Other than adding my name, this are out of the camera as is.
Telephone wires and poles are just part of the street furniture that we don’t really notice around us. They blend into the background and our brains just blank them out as being nothing to take any notice of.
However , when we get a theme on ‘Smile on Saturday’ of ‘Look up to the sky’, they take on a significance that makes them eminently photographical!
For the Macro Mondays Theme: Wire
Thank you for your time, faves and comments, it's much appreciated.

Float plane at lower right is fortunately a long way from all these wires, a common sight in urban areas that don't have underground wiring.
Draadstertswael (S.A.) (Hirundo smithii)
A very tiny blue backed swallow. Love the slender tail streamers which are often difficult to see. Kruger N.P. South Africa.
Another possibility for the Macro Mondays theme of desk. The Apple logo on my laptop is about 3 cm across and makes a cool little mirror to reflect things!
*** As of right now I’m leaning toward this one.***
Interestingly, the one i was going to stage and take a picture of is a mini stapler and some blue staples. Never got around to it bc I was having such a good time finding things on my table/desk that could be reflected ... Grin...
*****(Update)… when I went to create a context picture, I discovered that in actuality it’s the password book, not index cards!! Changed tge title****

That beanie is being stretched quite a bit here. A previously unpublished image from one of my last street shoots in February 2020. I don't yet know when I will be back out getting fresh new images for you all but I appreciate every bit of support that you have shown to me. Have a great weekend everyone and stay safe!
Found this old truck resting in a barn, Grassy Cove, Tn.
The hot wires prevent the cows on the farm from disturbing the old Chevy. HTT!
A white-throated kingfisher (halcyon smyrnensis) taking advantage of a loop of wire attached to a tall pole. Photographed in Khuk Khak, Phang Nga, Thailand.

A new version of my image of the Harley Davidson wedding riders from 2023.
I have used the new Adobe Lightroom AI tool to remove the lightpoles, overhead wires and street signs that, in my view, detracted from the previous version of this image.
Photographed at Putney (near Tennyson Point & Gladesville) in Western Sydney.
