Inspired by my love for travel and my time spent working in a small town in Mexico called Saltillo, I designed and made this backpack in Advanced Soft Goods. The look of the pack was shaped by the memories I made during my summer month in Saltillo and reflects the colors that defined my impressions of Mexico’s vibrant culture and vivid landscapes. I brought the pack to Taiwan before it trekked with me around The Netherlands, Germany, and France for my Wintersession RISD Global Papermaking and Printmaking course. In the dreary winter weather, I was always glad to wear my pack and bring a small taste of summer and Saltillo with me.
