We were setting out on a perfect winter day to enjoy another excursion of Iceland's Southwest and this became a truly perfect day with fresh snowfall and heavenly light illuminating the beautiful white vastness.

Istanbul woke up to the enchanting white of the snow today, but my soul is still warm and glowing in bright red! As the snowflakes dance in the air, I’m here to break the calm silence of winter with every step I take.
Take a look at that tiny red rose hidden in my shoe—it carries a massive spark of passion! ❤️ No matter how biting the cold gets, there’s always a hint of summer joy in my stride and a secret fire in every step. Just like the most vibrant brushstroke on a pure white canvas...

Dutch people love to skate, but unfortenately not every Dutch winter permits skating on natural ice. Now it's been cold for a week, and the first shallow lakes are covered with ice...
There are Norwegians that goes to Spain for winter. I have never been to Spain, nor any other warm country. I am sure it is nice.
But they miss these days. About -10 Celsius, just a few tiny clouds, lovely snowcovered landscapes, a hint of sun in the middle of the day. Air so crisp and fresh that every breath fills you with joy. (And a cough if you draw the breath too fast)
And with you in this winter dream a fury friend that loves life in winter. A half old dog that feels the bubbling joy of a lotto winner just by being there. Alive and young again. So happy it fills his owner with the same happiness. Even though the marks in the snow was deer, and not the missing sheep.
I am sorry for being much behind on commenting. I am not sure how soon I will be able to come around either, but I will try.

I did at least six different images out of this photo. Sonnar does not like low sombre Canadian winter light. All photos I did this day lack contrast and detail. They all had very small dynamic range. So, lot of work in post processing.
This one is closer to the original. Protected highlights and subject is just a shadow.

I don't remember when we had so much snow like this year. It causes trouble, but also gives joy. Mainly to kids, but sometimes to older (kids) too :)) So why not kick snow, "just for the hell of it"? :)) Hana certainly enjoys it :D
