I was enjoying a winter walk when I saw this tree. I was drawn to the structures of the leafless branches against the clouds in the evening light. Right on cue the sun poked through the clouds and the sun rays beamed across the sky one more time before setting behind the mountains.
Yesterday I went for a walk in my spring/summer hiking shoes and a lighter jacket. Today I woke up to snow..... Here we go again...
It will be exciting to see who will come for Easter, the Easter Bunny or Santa Claus....

So sieht der Winter an der Südlichen Weinstraße aus. Wir haben nur selten Schnee.
This is like Winter shows in our region. Snow is very rare here.

Welcome to winter with water drops and bokeh on a mountain maple. The best I can do for a wintry image, since there is very little snow at Lake Tahoe. The recent storms that have battered coastal California have not dropped much snow on the Eastern side of the Sierra.
Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for all of your kind comments -- I appreciate them all.

Blow Blow Thou Winter Wind
William Shakespeare
Blow, blow, thou winter wind,
Thou art not so unkind
As man’s ingratitude;
Thy tooth is not so keen,
Because thou art not seen,
Although thy breath be rude.
Heigh-ho! sing, heigh-ho! unto the green holly:
Most friendship is feigning, most loving mere folly:
Then, heigh-ho, the holly!
This life is most jolly.
Freeze, freeze, thou bitter sky,
That dost not bite so nigh
As benefits forgot:
Though thou the waters warp,
Thy sting is not so sharp
As friend remembered not.
Heigh-ho! sing, heigh-ho! unto the green holly...
Appears in As You Like It, Act II Scene VII.
The London Road Viaduct is a brick railway viaduct in Brighton, part of the city of Brighton and Hove in East Sussex, England. Built in the 1840s for the Brighton, Lewes and Hastings Railway by the locomotive engineer and railway architect John Urpeth Rastrick, the sharply curving structure has 27 arches and about 10 million bricks. It is still in constant use, and is listed at Grade II* for its historical and architectural significance. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/London_Road_viaduct
