On April 23, 2006, I rode a Speeder from Cordele to Plains, Georgia on a trip sponsored by NARCOA (aka North American Rail Car Owners Association). Since I don't own a Motor Car (aka a Speeder) , I rode with a friend who owns two Motor Cars. These are some photos that I took during my trip on the Heart of Georgia Railroad.

After we Arrived in Leslie, Georgia, we passed several industries before we reached the Leslie Water Tower. This particular industry has a Spigot that can load dry commodities into Hopper Cars.

Penn Central passenger train EMD E8 locomotive cab ride view seen when passing by CHICK tower with an ex New Haven Railroad NE-5 class caboose on a freight train currently at this location in Boston, Massachusetts, 1970. As far as I know the old wooden tower named CHICK was taken from its location near the site of one of the old Chickering Piano manufacturing plant buildings. Notice all of the control rods coming from the tower which control various switch operations and signals. When viewing this scene you can see the locomotive's left front window wiper blade. Bob Hughes on this day was traveling from Boston to Stamford on this cab ride adventure.

thankful hubby replaced my windshield wipers

we had just bought NEW ones in November in Carson city, they lasted under two months, they kept coming apart at the connector..........so this month hubby replaced them one at a time for a prize of a price $20 per blade.......seems expensive BUT when you have them falling off during snow there is NO option!!!
