The next time you find yourself complaining about a day at work, think about these window cleaners on a skyscraper in Tokyo. We watched them start at the top, working their way down the building, each covering about three columns of windows, swinging back and forth with their squeegees. Very fascinating to watch. Happy Monochrome Monday! HMM!
Thanks as always to everyone who stops by to view, fave, and comment on my photos - it is much appreciated.
at the Gathering Place the new windows at the Lodge house will be a never ending job to keep clean, so far so good on this.

I found these two men window washing hanging from a local hospital. I was across the street sitting in my car and noticed what looked like specks. Using my closeup lens this is what I got.

One inspired worker in Frankfurt airport performs his magic, changing circular shapes into horizontal ones.
I know it is obvious that the blinds were there before - but if you let your imagination fly free for few seconds, it may be an interesting exercise to feel his choreography that takes away the immobility of time while waiting for your connecting flight. Meantime the window is sparkly clean...
One of the lucky people getting back to work with the start of easing of COVID-19 restrictions. Delightful chap who didn't mind his photo being taken. Not too much of a problem doing social distancing while on the job. Great job on the window cleaning too!
The architectural coolness of this high-rise is exceeded only by the courage of the four window washers dangling precariously with their squeegees hundreds of feet above street level in Seoul, Korea

I wonder how these guys get trained to hang from the top of a tall building. The windows must be fairly solid for the workers to repel a certain amount side to side to get all of the windows.
Looks to me to be a window washing rig (2-person cage to the left) for the Nova Victoria building next to Victoria Train Station in London.
Even though the hair on top of my head grows thin, It doesn't mean I don't trust a true professional with my beard. I've had the honor of being lined up, faded, and trimmed at the Atwood Barbershop for the last 2 and 1/2 years.
I wouldn't & couldn't do that type job if you paid me a fortune!
One tiny rope holding you up between you & the ground. Are you kidding me!
First off, this is not a photo taken by me. It was sent to me, who the original author is I do not know.
The laughter I have gotten from this photo is incredible!!
I wanted to post a bit of joy on a long, sad 3 day weekend.

I often go across the street to the hospital cafeteria to grab a salad for lunch, and stopped for awhile to watch this fellow cleaning the windows with the power scrubber. He was quite deft at maneuvering what seems an extremely awkward length of scrubber and hose.
Happy Window Wednesday!
Had a rather unpleasant experience when taking this photo. I found this high rise interesting, as it had some red walls, plus there were people dropping down from above cleaning the exterior windows. Just after I raised my camera taking the photo, a guy approached me asking me what was interesting about the building. At first I thought this was a "friendly" inquiry, but before I even opened my mouth to explain, he interrupted, "i am also familiar with photography, there is nothing interesting about this building" then he went on accusing me of some "questionable" motive like trying to take photos of someone's apartment and asking me to leave before he call the police!! I was like 😳
There're people with mental issues wandering in downtown, so I tried to keep myself at a distance and not responding in a verbally aggressive way. I replied, "well since you said you're familiar with photography, you should have known that I am using a regular lens that cannot zoom in close enough to see the inside of the apartment", plus "I am shooting in a street which is public domain not someone else's property, and this is afternoon with daylight, it's not like I am using a powerful zoom lens taking photo of someone's room after dark". Then I backed away until arriving at a safe distance, and yelled back, "for some reasons, this building and this scene REALLY interested me, too bad it didn't interest you", and off I went to get my afternoon latte.
I see many on Flickr posted street scene photography showing strangers in the photo, not sure if anyone have had "similar" upleasant experiences while shooting in an urban setting?
