suspended in the cool embrace of blue, the cleaning platform hangs precariously as if caught between breaths. this is a dance of geometry and life, where lines run with rigorous precision and human endeavor nudges gently against the confines of structured existence. the vast panels of the skyscraper glisten with the afternoon sun, reflecting not just the sky but also the aspirations housed within. in this moment, the ordinary task transcends, becoming a subtle metaphor for our daily strivings against the sheer faces of our personal and communal ambitions.
MyZeil Shopping Mall is a project designed by Studio Fuksas in Frankfurt, Germany in 2009. The sculptural glass facade creates impressive and dynamic spaces within the public atriums, creating a unique environment for a common activity. The design is inspired by geography and topography. The facade is conceived as a river that has different depths reaching into the Earth. The structure is inspired by the historical context of the site. The fluid shape comes from the connection of the Zeil, the shopping boulevard in the heart of Frankfurt, and the Thurn and Taxis palace. The two facades on opposite ends of the building are designed to evoke the two distinct senses of the city. The modern city on the facade running along the Zeil expresses leisure, entertainment and relaxation...

These window-cleaners were dodging traffic on Saturday morning so they could get their cleaning pole at the necessary angle to clean windows on this monolithic building on Aungier Street. The pole is leaning on the wall here, but they were primarily cleaning the windows.

Since this picture was taken the practice of working at the top of long, unsupported wooden ladders to clean high level windows has vastly decreased in England in favour of using ground based water-fed telescopic pole systems.
Rodney Street is Liverpool's Georgian quarter.

As my bus was about to head onto The Priory Queensway, waiting to get off, I noticed two men cleaning windows on the McLaren Building. As soon as I got off I grabbed a quick shot, before heading to work.
That's the reflection of the sun on the left.
It dates from 1972 by Bonham.
The McLaren Building is a 69-metre 21-storey tall office building in Birmingham 4, England designed by Philip Bonham Associates. It is a thin green and brown building which is home to many businesses including Scott Wilson and Birmingham City Council's Eastside development team.
It is situated on the edge of two massive redevelopment sites and buildings of a similar proportion to The McLaren Building are being constructed: Masshouse and Martineau Galleries. It is on Dale End, next to a bridge carrying Priory Queensway, and near the junction with James Watt Queensway. New entrance as of November 2009 is on 46 The Priory Queensway, Birmingham, B4 7LF.
During the demolition of Masshouse Circus, the rear of the building was closed due to the threat of falling debris.
The building was owned by the Birmingham Alliance, the developers of the nearby Martineau Galleries, however in November 2006, this was sold to Nikal, a Manchester-based company who is one of the partners in Masshouse Developments. It was purchased for £25 million. It is believed that the tower will undergo a refurbishment during the construction of Masshouse which will make the building more attractive to tenants.
