Stuffing its face with a gooey blowfly

A new project is on the way. The goal is to create an album with colorful street shots. Enjoy!

A Willys truck at Keys Ranch at Joshua Tree National Park. Bill Keys lived at the ranch until he died in the late 60's. The national parks acquired the ranch and its contents shortly after Bill Keys passed away. There were several trucks and cars and many buildings and other equipment, all in a state of deterioration. Access to the ranch is restricted except for guided tours of the ranch which are conducted twice a day.

I did a little further investigation about this Willys. Bill Keys traded a mining claim for the truck in late 1948. The truck became Bills favorite vehicle. The original canvas top deteriorated so Bill had it replaced. I couldn't find any information about who swapped out the usual Willys slatted grill for the mesh grill seen here. Bill was always tinkering so he may have done it.

Happy Truck Thursday!

it started as Ethan's design, but I changed quite a bit of it, it is also a lot sturdier.

I Love old Jeeps.

Shot at Keys Ranch.

So I rebuilt my Willys' MB, with a couple changes. Added better seats, changed the MG, etc.

Let me know what you think! Pictures with the canopy coming in the next few days.

This is what this little Willy Wagtail thought of getting its photo taken.

Honestly.....I asked if I could take a photo and he said "Yeah here you go take a shot of that".

Its always the black & white birds...so much attitude!

Scientific name: Rhipidura leucophrys

This is a shot of WIlly Lott's House, Home of the Haywain painting by John Cunstable.

From left to right: Cobi (yes, that's a Ford GP), Bluebrixx and my own (the first variant w/o swing axle). Although the MOC has some flaws, I still like it better than the others.
