Last time I was in New Orleans, I was disappointed that there weren't any really outrageous wigs on display at this shop. Not the case on this visit. There was the "Colonial Beehive" Marie Antoinette style in one window, and two extremely colorful wigs in the other. I'll post those sometime later.

A wig shop in Grand Rapids...these mannequin heads are rather creepy in my opinion, especially the one on the left.

I thought I spotted Karl Lagerfeld, but maybe I'm wrong.

These are made with real human hair and quite expensive....

A little break from my Eighty-sixed series since the next one is kinda creepy.

This is another from the Windows of Ashville series.

Um... yeah. I have a thing for mannequins and reflections.

The weekend is here and I'm hiding from anything that has to do with "WORK". Work is such a nasty four letter word on the weekend. Especially on the weekend, since I put in forty hours M-F, (yes I'm one of the lucky ones that still has a job, and it seems like the older I get the more selective I am about how I spend MY time. Doing mundane chores is at the bottom of MY list these days.

I came up with the idea for this image today at work just out of the blue. My mind tends to wander while on task. A.D.D. possibly. I got this shot last March, downtown Seattle when my Sister and Frank, (her hubby), came up for a visit from Portland and we did the Seattle tourist, Pike Place Market, downtown Seattle thing. We all stopped in this wig shop on Pike street on a whim. Today, all I needed was a head shot of myself to plug in. Lucky for me the focus point was very close to this grey wig. Looks more believable huh? So I set up my camera with the same 70-200 lens I used for the original shot @ f5. Got out my two SB600's with Gary Fong cloud diffuser's for lighting. Masked out my head shot using Topaz Remask 3, and then put it all together in Photosop CS4.

That's it for my Friday after work project! Now we're off to watch TV, eat popcorn and ice cream. We already had dinner. Sassy made it and it was GREAT!

Have a great weekend!!!! Don't tell work where I'm hiding. I'm sure it will find me. We're staying close to home this weekend and there is PLENTY of work around here to find me if I'm not careful.

Wig shop,

Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia

Wow, what a choice...how to choose just one...!

Which one you would like?

I have never been thinkin' to buy nor wear a wig, but seeing this shop in England, I was tempted...

Lucky I had no time to enter the shop, lol ;))

It would be kind of fun to be a dramatic brunette one day and a short haired blond the other...

Maybe next visit I'll get one!

FHF-Fabulous Hairy Friday to all!

When it comes to the major advantages of hair extensions, which are very evident is that you don`t require to waste a lot of time if you want long hair. The process of getting done is not

painful and does not last long.

You will be capable to have the hair you wish for without damaging your real hair. You can apply hair extensions without cutting the original hair without causing any damage to your hair to look beautiful.

If your hair is growing out slower rate than you anticipated it, you can make use of hair extensions instead of waiting for your natural hair to grow. If you are attending a meeting soon and do not want your former classmates to notice hair loss, you can go for hair extension. While hair extensions can be a key to a problem, that a good number of people who use them simply want to update their style.

A wigged wooden head wakes up in a window of the wig shop at Colonial Williamsburg in Williamsburg, Virginia. Photomontge. I don't remember who supplied the facial featues, the nose looks a little like mine but not the eyes, lips, and eyebrows. I really should keep better notes.

Unedited window reflection of Amsterdam. Shot with a Sony HX200V using the HDR filter. No editing, no magic tricks, no Photoshop :)

Amsterdam, the best city in the world, always looks fabulous, even when it's reflected in a puddle, mirror or window, so I decided to share some recent reflections with you, for no reason, just because I can :)

Enjoy your day, almost weekend!

...Trust me, I know how this looks. Lol! I was in my "Gaga" phase and had to try on different wigs to be different, to be platinum. What I love love love about wigs is that they transform you. This store had just about every look you could think of. I wanted to try them all. I'm not me, but someone or something else. I like that feeling. Its fun and so very liberating at times.

The Wig shop. Strange reflections in the shop windows.
