Perhaps like I did, but this time I didn't have the comforts of my own home as seen from last week's shot below. This week, hold up in The Pacific Grand Hotel in Victoria, I listened to John McCain's acceptance speech, and while I offer no opinion on the substance, I will say, in my view, John spoke his best, perhaps ever.
You have to love American Politics.....
In a few hours I will be with 82,000 other people all-consumed with the showpiece final of the greatest and fastest field game in the world - hurling. My beloved Cork are playing Clare in the replay of the All-Ireland hurling final. Here is the promo video for today's game.

As you can see the fans from both sides are not separated. The banter between the fans is what makes hurling so special. Wish Cork luck - we might need it - Clare are a fine team.

I don't think I've ever been to any event where there was a sack race. These people were laughing so hard and having the best time, I am so inspired to have an end-of-summer picnic with...sack races [where you do get those?], three-legged races, and what else? what are all those old-timey games? Who's in?

I cropped the left one to match the right (it was pretty close already) but other than that, neither photo was touched in photoshop.

Amadika has been on my contact list forever and constantly delights me with awesome and lovely photos. Awhile back we had to invent a "Super Dork" for FGR, some of you may remember "Super Drunk." Well Amadika invented and had several reprisals of the ever so cute SRDG (Super Rainbow Dork Girl).
I had the idea several weeks ago to do a duet as "Dr. Thunderstorm" the evil villain to SRDG. Amadika agreed and we had the perfect opportunity since today is Duet Duels on FGR. I couldn't have asked for a better partner in this endeavor. I ended up staying up super late so we'd have time to collaborate while I was busy doing work down in Dallas. I just scraped together a few minutes to post this and now I'm back off to work!
Amazed at our high level of cheesy dorkiness today? So are we! :)
