There were sounds in my head
Little voices whispering
That I should go and this should end
Oh and I found myself listening
All I know is that I should
'Cos she will love you more than I could
She who dares to stand where I stood ...

In this area many moons ago, the Moa roamed freely. A flightless native bird of New Zealand now extinct, standing over 3 metres tall. The Moa were a great food source for the indigenous Maori and Moriori people of New Zealand and their bones were used for tools.

73962 'Dick Mabbut' and 73961 'Alison' approach Littlehampton station while working an Eastleigh to Eastleigh track testing circular.
Since being re-engined the class 73s have demonstrated their ability to go anywhere on the UK rail network. However, they have spent nearly 50 years of their life working almost exclusively on the Southern Region, so it was good to capture them in a typical ‘Southern’ location.
Aside from the 3rd rail, other pointers to the South are the listed former LBSC signal box, the Southern Railway bracket semaphore (or ‘stick’ to be truly Southern), the distant South Downs and of course the sunshine!
Littlehampton’s disused gasometer is a rare survivor: once a common feature of many British towns they have almost disappeared over the last couple of decades.

While I am roaming thru L.A trying to accomplish different affairs I often demand myself what am I doing in this bizarre town.
Shown here is the 11th century mountaintop fortress of Burg Hohenwerfen which sits high above the village of Werfen in the Austrian Alps about 25km south of Salzburg. Although portrayed in the movie Where Eagles Dare, the castle is now a falconry center and museum, and is accessible by a short, if steep, pathway from the village. Image taken while MK and I were wandering through Austria last week. :-)

Making donuts at home can be a delightful experience! Here's a basic recipe for classic fried donuts:
Essential Ingredients:
2 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1/4 cup warm water (110°F / 45°C)
3/4 cup lukewarm milk
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 large egg
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (plus extra for rolling)
Oil for frying (vegetable, canola, or peanut oil)
For Glaze:
2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
Activate the yeast: In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water. Let it sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
Make the dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the yeast mixture, lukewarm milk, sugar, salt, butter, and egg. Gradually add the flour and mix until a dough forms.
Knead: Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
Cut out donuts: Roll the dough out to about 1/2 inch thick. Use a donut cutter or two different-sized round cutters to cut out donuts and holes. Place them on a floured surface and let them rise again until doubled, about 30 minutes.
Fry: Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C). Fry donuts in batches, turning them once, until golden brown (1-2 minutes per side). Drain on paper towels.
Glaze: Mix the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Dip the warm donuts into the glaze and let them cool on a wire rack.
Enjoy your homemade donuts! 🍩

There's nothing else I would rather do, unless there was a profession that involved cuddling bunny rabbits and kittens all day for money.
This is where we view northeastern side of San Francisco from Bay Bridge. It is the first sight of the city, and the first sight of the biggest city that we drove through in the cross-country road trip that started from the Midwest. What you see in the very bottom is a girder of the bridge. It spans San Francisco Bay, connecting between the city and East Bay by Oakland. Due to the hazy atmosphere, backlight, and it being taken through a car window that hadn't been washed through the 2,200-mile road trip, this image might look like seen through a filter. The hilly side looks relatively clearly, whereas Golden Gate Bridge, which is five to six-mile linear distance (8 to 9 km), is in haze.

Steady on the road again, honey
Feeling like a child again, honey
Lift my hands and scream at me, honey
Where are you?
Everything I was is now haunting
My soul is desperately wanting
Clean my feet and breathe on me, honey
Where are you?
When my days are drifting into one
And everything I have is done
Where are you?
I'm melting like the summer days
And everything I have has changed
Where are you?
Call me where you go
Hold me here, forever I will follow
Just call me where you go
And I will wait forever
Got me on the ropes again, honey
Falling to my knees again, honey
Show me how to be myself, honey
Where are you?
'Cause this fickle heart's been hiding
Oh, and it needs to feel something
Pick me up to fly again, honey
Where are you?
When my days are drifting into one
And everything I have is done
Where are you?
I'm melting like the summer days
And everything I have has changed
Where are you?
Call me where you go
Hold me here, forever I will follow
Just call me where you go
And I will wait forever
Call me where you go
Hold me here, forever I will follow
Just call me where you go
And I will wait forever
