Straight from the camera, Canon Powershot S3 IS
I even resisted the temptation to crop it, and maybe straighten it a little bit. It was tough, though!
Straight from the camera.
I couldn't believe the lovely shade of green I ended up with when I uploaded the pic ... well, I think it's lovely, because... well.... because I love green... lol
Hand held, using Canon Powershot S3IS
A "textured" version can be found here
Taken this morning, after a heavy downpour.
Yes... I got wet again!
Hand held, and straight from the camera.
This is what I tried to achieve earlier but was lacking a key part. These are pretty much straight out of the camera. I have lowered highlights and whites, and upped the contrast, but all of the colourwork was done with a colourchanging LED bulb. They are quite addictive.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE... all I did was crop out a telephone pole from each side. Thanks everyone, this made Explore.. 87. =0]]]
Lunch today was at the Arboretum, which is about 10 minutes from where I work.
I'd just about finished lunch and started to head back to the car when I noticed a flower bed... with this gorgeous clematis. Suffice to say, I was late getting back to the office.

Only in India would you find such colourful outfits
Here, a store in the town of Ajmer, flauting its collection on display.
Best seen LARGE
It's fascinating to see every detail of this small smiling fish.
EDIT: After reading the comment of sam2cents, I found out this is a baby thorn back ray.
Taken through glass using flash, no tripod. Cropped (for composition purposes) and enhanced in PSP.
Seen at #52 on Explore January 9, 2007 - Thanks for letting me know, Mareen F!!
Thank you all for you comments and invitations. As always, they are much appreciated!!
I was just getting the shopping from the car when I noticed the light on this lilium... which was a present from TassieSim last time she visited me.
Of course, the ice cream was left to melt .. lol
This is untouched... straight from the camera, and taken about 10 minutes ago (well, I had to get the ice cream into the freezer - although nothing else has been put away yet)....
:-)
Me Again Monday ~ 'Barely there'
I took LOTS of pic's of us this summer in the pool.
I was waiting to post this on the last calendar day of summer, but it fits the theme so well..
SOOC cept for the top right corner where my knuckle got in the shot..so I got rid of it it.....
I think the bubble next to my neck looks like an eye.
My grandson's hand is on my shoulder as we dive "down town" to the bottom of the pool.
His fingers look like raisins ...probably a good time to get out :)~

Thank you all!!
Hand held, straight from the camera, except for a crop. Dew drops on a blade of grass...
To me, it looks like fingers holding the drop... very delicately... (maybe an alien hand though... lol)
Straight from the camera, hand held, Canon Powershot S3 IS, manual focus, SuperMacro setting.

I had no idea what this flower was .... it just looked a tiny little fluffy thing that was more like sea anemone up close..... :-)
Straight from the camera, no cropping, no post processing, hand held, Canon Powershot S3 IS, SuperMacro, Manual Focus
Thank you to aussiegall and swt snookie for the identification!! It's definitely ageratum.

the highest tide for a long time coupled with high winds made for a crammed Whitstable harbour today, many worried fishermen securing ropes to keep boats safe, with one rope even snap cracking before my eyes.....this is really the time when the harbour returns to the preserve of the fishermen, when it's windy and cold the constant stream of visitors that Whitstable seems to attract these days are clearly looking for a safe house.
