Whatever you are physically...male or female, strong or weak, ill or healthy--all those things matter less than what your heart contains. If you have the soul of a warrior, you are a warrior. All those other things, they are the glass that contains the lamp, but you are the light inside.

I spent all of last evening backing up my computer... something I don't do often enough. I mean, if my hard drive crashed I'd still have all of my negatives (film users are lucky regarding that), but if some catastrophe struck the apartment (fire, explosion, whatever), I'd lose those, too. So every few months I retrieve my external drive from my work place and go through the tedious process of transferring files from my computer to my external drive, and then (as an extra precaution) to my laptop as well.

It feels good though, to get it done... and while a boring topic, it's something you should consider if you don't already have a way to backup your work (some place entirely removed from your home computer).

Anyway, I was going to post an image of some sunlit daisies today, but with big, fat snowflakes hurtling down on the street outside my window... well, it just didn't seem appropriate. So here's Crater Lake wearing winter clothes, as seen by a pinhole camera.

FEATURED ON GROUP FRONT PAGE @ LOOK BLUE

I acknowledge that for many people in the world things are hellish at the moment, but tomorrow is Christmas Day here, which for some just means the supermarkets and the liquor stores will be closed, while for others it is a day that still has meaning beyond the banal - sometimes happy and sometimes happy and sad at the same time - but whatever it does for you I wish all of my Flickr friends a meaningful and memorable Christmas for you and yours.

So. It’s been a year. A year since I said I was quitting MOCing. A lot has happened in that year, and most of that began in July and indirectly caused my hiatus.

I’ve been doing alright since then. Still doing great in school. Focusing on writing and producing music as a creative outlet (even though at the moment I don’t have much to show for it). As some of my friends from Discord know, freaking out about random stuff, mostly involving dealing with other people.

Lately, the memories of the joy of MOCing have returned to me, and I remembered a few of the ideas I’ve still had on the mental shelf for a while. I have a feeling I may yet be ready to continue making MOCs for a storyline based on a dead theme.

It just might happen.

Juuuuuuust might.

Another figure I took a photo of about two weeks ago that never ended up on my computer. Most of you have probably seen this but whatever.
