This year, which has been anything but simple, finding things to be thankful for may be difficult for some of us. But as the holidays draw near, hopefully we can find peace and joy in the little things, as our hearts fill with hope for better times in the coming year.
Reflecting on 2020, please feel free to pick and answer one or more of the questions below:
1. What is something you did this year that you think you will remember for the rest of your life?
2. What is something you accomplished this year that you are proud of?
3. What was the nicest thing someone did for you this year?
4. What was the most challenging part of this year for you?
5. Where is your favorite place and Why?
6. If you could change one thing that happened this year, what would it be?
7. What is the most important thing you learned this year?
8. Who has made the biggest impact in your life this year? Why?
9. Knowing what you know now, if you could write a letter to yourself that would travel back in time so that you would receive it at the start of the year, what advice would you give your younger self?

wishing you all the very best for the new year. 2008 was so full of new things and changes...i am looking forward to making it all look lived in around here.

Happy New Year, all!
(I'm not going to hold my breath but I've got my fingers crossed tight and am very much hoping for the tides to turn/for better times (eventually, at the very least) in 2021 for us all! ~ :) ♥ )
Well this is late...but better late than never!
It's been one busy busy year, with much less time for my camera than I'd have liked. I refuse to make resolutions, but I do truly mean to make more time for photography this year.
Thanks to the 12 months for dogs group for being so awesome!
For some of us, growing up can take a long time. And I don't mean growing into an adult, I mean REALLY growing up, becoming a person you're proud to be. Growing into your soul, so to speak. For some, a few soft whispers to their soul at important junctures in their lives is all is takes. Unfortunately, I was never one of those people. I was too busy trying to live my life to see that I wasn't really living at all. Funny thing is that life has a way of teaching us what we need to know, whether we're listening or not. It shouts at you. LOUDLY. Then, when you're finally ready to listen, it begins to speak softly to you of love, dreams and hope and how, if you just have faith of the heart, you can gain strength of the soul. Amazing, that :)
Faith of the Heart by Russell Watson
It's been a long road
Getting from there to here
It's been a long time
But my time is finally near
And I will see my dream come alive at last,
I will touch the sky
And they're not gonna hold me down no more
No, they're not gonna change my mind
Cause I've got faith of the heart
I'm going where my heart will take me
I've got faith to believe
I can do anything
I've got strength of the soul
And no one's gonna bend or break me
I can reach any star
I've got faith
Faith of the heart...
Happy New Year, all!

This year has been such a emotional whirlwind and we've got only a few months before it's all over!!!! Just remember we all are feeling stuff and in the same big boat together - lets stop dividing from one another and come together for the good of humanity - no matter what side your on. We should not be defined as a party side or a organization side. We are all part of the same family of human beings - earthlings - amazing created people - lets be kind to one another - Love one another again!!!! Stop the divide - we need unity for the sake of our survival. I pray that our country and our world would come together in love.
You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor’ and ‘Hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you'

[from Things I Didn't Know I Loved
Nâzim Hikmet - 1902-1963]
I didn't know I loved clouds
whether I'm under or up above them
whether they look like giants or shaggy white beasts
moonlight the falsest the most languid the most petit-bourgeois
strikes me
I like it
I didn't know I liked rain
whether it falls like a fine net or splatters against the glass my
heart leaves me tangled up in a net or trapped inside a drop
and takes off for uncharted countries I didn't know I loved
rain but why did I suddenly discover all these passions sitting
by the window on the Prague-Berlin train
is it because I lit my sixth cigarette
one alone could kill me
is it because I'm half dead from thinking about someone back in Moscow
her hair straw-blond eyelashes blue
the train plunges on through the pitch-black night
I never knew I liked the night pitch-black
sparks fly from the engine
I didn't know I loved sparks
I didn't know I loved so many things and I had to wait until sixty
to find it out sitting by the window on the Prague-Berlin train
watching the world disappear as if on a journey of no return
