Kennedy Lake & Andora Ridge

This is the biggest lake on Vancouver Island. We drove from Lantzville along the Alberto Highway, and visited Cathedral Grove (with amazing and wonderful old, giant Douglas firs) in MacMillan Provincial Park. Highway 4 is a long and winding road...In Ucluelet, there are car stickers “I Survived Highway 4” which seemed apt as there is construction work going on at some of the more scenic, more scary parts.
I shot this photo as a drive-by with my iPhone. I didn’t pack my other lens for my camera and this called for a wider angle.
It had been very cloudy and rainy on the east side of the mountains, but coming over into the west was a sight for sore eyes.
It’s such a beautiful location!

On the road in Maine ... just a quick stop into Flickr here before we head off for another adventure in Maine ... and then Canada.
Capture of the West Quoddy Head Lighthouse in the late evening with thin fog under the stars as they started to come out.
Such a wonderful view from the lighthouse platform looking west. Fine mist was swept up the hill from the sea making for a smokey outlook.

There wasn't much blue sky at West WIttering when we arrived but the interesting clouds made up for it and there was the odd glimmer of sun to be seen. Might be worth a look in large if you have the time.

This is West Lane heading towards Brandstone Dub Bridge with Green Moor on the left and Sunny Side on the right. West Lane is part of the Nidderdale Way circular path and runs from Pateley Bridge to the old site of the Prosperous and Providence lead mines in Nidderdale
A sunrise shot from earlier in the year taken at my favourite location on the south coast. The best time to catch the sunrise here is between November and the end of February I believe.

The old museum harbor at the Ringkøbing Fjord near Nymindegab is one of the places I love most along the Danish West Coast. Nymindegab, Jylland,Denmark
While driving on an unpaved backroad in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, I came upon this ranch and stopped to take a few pictures. I felt like I was a part of the old west in this setting.
Upper West (originally: Atlas Tower) is a high-rise building at Breitscheidplatz in the Berlin district of Charlottenburg. With a height of 119 meters, it´s the fourth highest skysraper in Berlin. Designed by Christoph Langhof and KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten, the building was completed in 2017.
