Coraline likes to explore the secret water well. She drops a stone down the well to hear it hit the bottom. She wonders how deep it is.

Jeepneys of Siquijor, Philippines

The first 'jeepneys', the main public transport in many Philippine cities, as well as between regional centers, were modified SUVs that the US military abandoned in the country after World War II. Customized with Filipino details, they sport chrome, colorful headlights, radio antennas, paintings of the Virgin Mary or comic book characters. Service routes are written on the sides of the vehicle.

The Market Place in England's smallest cathedral city, Wells (pop. 12,000) in the county of Somerset. A golden October afternoon shows off the honey-coloured ashlar particularly well.

The two towers in the foreground date to Bishop Bekynton's "New Works" improvements to the cathedral precincts in 1450-1, as is the building immediately to the left of the "Bishop's Eye", the tallest of the towers. The building housing "London House" (16 Market Place) is a little newer, dating to the 16th Century, and with

considerable additions and alterations in the early 17th Century and an early 20th Century refronting.

The shops on the left are also from Bishop Benkyton's mid-15th Century works, although they were renovated in the 19th Century.

The South Tower of Wells Cathedral is visible poking above the rooftops.

The African daisies have done well, and one was even blooming just before the frost arrived."

She sits at the wishing well, her dragonflies buzz around her and the water beings to bubble.

Four wish-granting goldfish emerge from the water. Their googly eyes full of secrets and so many stories. They twirl and spin playfully as gravity overtakes their ability to balance themselves.

In unison they all ask her, "Do you know what you wish?"

With love. This magpie nest (2 feet wide) fell from a 20 foot spruce tree next to my house in perfect condition. High winds must have caused it to come down. I just had to marvel at the work that went into it. I remember the babies that she had didn't survive because a bird of prey plucked them from the cozy nest. I heard the screams, it did make me sad even though it is just nature. My overly sensitive soul decided to keep the nest and put it in my barn with the other nests I collected over the years. I even think there is hair from my horses that are long gone woven into the bottom of it. I know, not that exciting, but I thought I'd share it anyway. How it landed without falling into pieces I'll never know...

This weeks Macro Mondays entry for the theme of Wabi-sabi.

Well the turkey is in; in fact it's almost done, so I've got away with a bit of messing time.

Just revisiting some of the many shots we took back in Feb in Assynt. This one obviously from Clachtoll and the beautiful grassy dunes above the beach and rocky headland. A bit blustery.....!

The supporting structure for the arches looks modern but is in fact a solution worked by master masons centuries ago. A straight a shot as I culd do with my old manual focus fisheye. Simply processed from RAW without HDR. Thanks very much if you have time for a comment.

Well truth be told, I don't have any fictitious figures lying around the house. I looked just about everywhere and nothing. My friend Helen is hosting the Macro Mondays group this week so I wanted to come up with something for the theme. I decided it was time to widen the search, my son Daniel happened to be home so it was time to see what he had. Well Daniel has all kinds of fictitious action figures that come as models and he assembles. Both my son's grew up in the war gaming world, my one son designs them for a living and Daniel enjoys putting them together. I chose Unicorn, a derivation of the original Gundam, a little warrior ready for battle. I'm good with that and that's the extent of my knowledge so please no questions. I will add you're looking at 1.5 inches from the tip of his helmet wing thing to the bottom of the red marking on the shield he's holding. Shot with one light off to the left and some fairy lights in the back, for my good bokeh friends, sorry no bubbles from the Voigtlander...

Shot with: VOIGTLANDER, 125mm f/2.5 SL, MACRO APO-LANTHAR, shot @ f/4.0, 31 Layer Focus Stack Rendered w/Helicon Focus, (B,R5,S3).

Should've stayed, were there signs, I ignored?

Can I help you, not to hurt, anymore?

We saw brilliance, when the world, was asleep

There are things that we can have, but can't keep

If they say

Who cares if one more light goes out?

In a sky of a million stars

It flickers, flickers

Who cares when someone's time runs out?

If a moment is all we are

We're quicker, quicker

Who cares if one more light goes out?

Well I do

The reminders pull the floor from your feet

In the kitchen, one more chair than you need oh

And you're angry, and you should be, it's not fair

Just 'cause you can't see it, doesn't mean it, isn't there

If they say

Who cares if one more light goes out?

In a sky of a million stars

It flickers, flickers

Who cares when someone's time runs out?

If a moment is all we are

We're quicker, quicker

Who cares if one more light goes out?

Well I do

Who cares if one more light goes out?

In a sky of a million stars

It flickers, flickers

Who cares when someone's time runs out?

If a moment is all we are

We're quicker, quicker

Who cares if one more light goes out?

Well I do

Well I do

One More Light - Linkin Park

Nearly four years ago, the world lost a true icon of the music world and I lost one of my childhood idols. His passing was one of someone being gone too soon, but his legacy remains in the music of Linkin Park.

As someone who has battled, depression and anxiety, I know what the battle can be like. To those going through it, just know that no matter how you feel, your light shines just as bright as everyone else. And while you may think that no one might care, I do. And I am sure that there are many others that care immensely about you and would be lost without your light in their life.
