Just came back from a Geological meeting and excursion over the weekend! Had a great time! Will catch up as soon as possible!

Trees through raindrops on the windshield of the car. Our visit to Mt. Rainier NP proved to be one of the rainiest trips. But lots of beauty to enjoy in any kind of weather.
I am traveling until 12/20 and will probably be busy when I come back. So no updates, most likely until Christmas.

I decided that I would start looking for color instead of whining about the lack of it. This morning I strolled around on the farm and really "looked" for beauty. In an overgrown pasture, the grasses were laden with a coating of frost and ice. In the distance, weeds were glistening with dew drops becoming sparkling gems of every color. It was breathtaking. (You can see the bokeh of those dew drops in this shot.) It was at that moment that I realized that beauty was there all along. It was in form, shapes, ice, frost, dew, it was everywhere! I stood quietly, in awe. Be prepared to see more glorious winter color on my page in the days to come! After all, winter is good!
I would like to dedicate this photo to my dear friend Vici who has always encouraged me when it comes to photography. You couldn't ask for a more supportive friend. Vici has amazing photographs..... so here's the link to visit her page: www.flickr.com/photos/25973579@N07/
Thank you, Vici, for being such a wonderful friend and for challenging me to create my best! ♥

This magnificent specimen of the Weeping Willow was resplendent in emerging new green leaves. It is in full display in Altamount Gardens.
Altamont Gardens are an enchanting blend of formal and informal gardens with riverside walks covering over 40
acres (16 hectares). Lawns bisected by sculpted yews, slope down to a lake surrounded by rare trees and rhododendrons and lead in turn to a very different garden featuring exotic shrubs and trees. It is in County Carlow, Ireland.

I used to have this tree at the house I moved away in 2017, which was huge. Love this. Please click on the link below to view. :-))

This flowering weeping tree has captivated me my entire adult life. It's one of those trees that look even more beautiful during the winter months, when the awesome, twisting, cascading branches are exposed and we see parts of the tree that are usually covered by leaves.
Happy Friday everyone! Have a wonderful day!
"If you look closely at a tree you'll notice it's knots and dead branches, just like our bodies. What we learn is that beauty and imperfection go together wonderfully." - Matthew Fox
