The Low lighthouse is one of three lighthouses in Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset, England and the only one which is still active. It is a Grade II listed building. Built in 1832
Burnham-on-Sea is notable for its beach and mudflats, which are characteristic of Bridgwater Bay and the rest of the Bristol Channel where the tide can recede for over 1.5 miles (2.4 km).
The Bristol Channel, which has the second highest tidal range in the world of 15 metres (49 ft), second only to Bay of Fundy in Eastern Canada. The constantly shifting sands have always been a significant risk to shipping in the area.

Taken in IBEX in Death Valley earlier this year when the verbena were flowering all over the lower dunes!! Photography has been an amazing outlet for me...Standing on top of this dune (relatively alone/ the guys were scattered) watching this most incredibly long burning sunset unfold with the scent of purple verbena all around me, was a defining moment for me in my life. I felt like I had finally accomplished something special. What an elating experience, I have found that time and nature are the best medicine. Have a great weekend and 4th of July all! Thanks for looking! Keep exploring and clicking! :)
On Sunday, Robyn Chau and I continued our #weekendadventures by heading to Ocean Beach and Sutro Baths. While down on the beach, we bumped into Brian Matiash! It's always a pleasure to hang out with Brian and we chatted along as we were shooting the sunset.
Just to the left of us, some guys started spinning steelwool (Google it!). I had never actually seen this in person, but it looked really cool. I was also really thankful they were doing this in a safe place where there was no chance of any accidents - especially with the drought we have right now. From a distance, I captured this one shot of them by the ruins - again thankful that they were not close to anything flammable as I would have asked them to stop.
Anyway, hope you enjoy the shot!

Llanddwyn Islands’ cottages on a somewhat changeable day. The island is a pleasure to photograph, however, to try and achieve a unique image in this location can be quite difficult. In the photograph I’ve tried to capture the sense of Llanddwyn with a panoramic image, space in this location is very tight but with the correct parallax, the cottages appear not too far off from being lined up.

Llanddwyn lighthouse on a changeable day, for most of the time it was blue skies which I’m not a big fan of. But in the afternoon the rain moved in to make the scene a bit more dramatic. Thank goodness for the changeable Welsh weather….

This past weekend I drove up the California Coast searching for new land/seascapes I hadn't shot before. It was an awesome day of exploring mixed with some great weather, great waves, and great sunset conditions. The only problem? My Formatt Hitech Filters 6 stop IRND took a fall off the cliff onto this beach that you see below thanks to a faulty filter holder. Unfortunately, this beach is not accessible. It also may actually still be on the cliff. Either way, that sucked quite a bit.
Regardless, it didn't take away from a great road trip!

We toured the National Mustard Museum in Middleton, WI in search of my hometown favorite, Bertman's. Luckily the owner of the museum saw my Indians hat and ushered us over to the good stuff, telling us that it was the number one seller on their website!
This picture shows off a display of mustard bottles and packs from all over the country.

A shot from our trip to Connersville, In. for the annual "Polar Express" train ride. The kids wear pajamas and have hot chocolate and cookies on the train. They read the story from the Polar Express book and then visit Santa's village.. on the way back, Santa visits every car and talks to all the kids. It's a great time for the children, and a very popular experience! We took Dylan and Jackson this year... Dylan has been the previous 2 years we went.
