Made one of my last trips out to see the Texas wildflowers last weekend. Nice vibrant colors still showing above the green grasses. This was right about at dusk, under a cloudy sky.

Former largest steelworks of ex GDR, now "Industriemuseum Brandenburg an der Havel", showing the last existing Siemens-Martin melting furnace.

It's a climbing rose on top of a trellis for those of you who are unsure of what it is.Shot at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden's Cranford Rose garden.A wonderful weekend to all! :-)

MP36 number 405, resplendent in Metra's Milwaukee Road tribute livery, flies upgrade through the snow near Noble Street, Chicago, with a weekend Milwaukee District North Line train.

In San Francisco with my west coast damsel a few weekends back on a photo walk with flickr’s San Francisco photo group celebrating flickr’s 20th anniversary doing a photo walk, we spent part of the weekend capturing images of the magnificent Goldengate Bridge both days, but this image is not of the Goldengate bridge, but rather it is the complex of Bethlehem Steel where the steel the forms the Goldengate Bridge was forged in Bethlehem Pennsylvania. Much of the steel of the famous New York City Landmarks, the Chrysler Building, the Empire State Building, bridges like the George Washington and of course the Goldengate were forged in the massive furnaces of Bethlehem Steel. The campus was enormous, these are vestiges of what remains and the enormous stacks and furnaces have been landmarked, preserved and the area turned into a multipurpose venue. Many things have been torn down at the rebuild continues, the corporate office building which was standing when I took this image was imploded, but there are these wonderful structures that remain that make an interesting photographic subject of what was. #developportdev @gothamtomato @developphotonewsletter @omsystem.cameras #excellent_america #omsystem @bheventspace @bhphoto @adorama @tamracphoto @tiffencompany #usaprimeshot #tamractales @kehcamera @mpbcom @visitbethlehem @steelstacks_pa #omd #olympus #microfourthirds #micro43 #micro43photography #lehighvalleypa @lehighvalleypa @visit_pa

Back in September 2009 the Conway Scenic hauled a transformer for the PSNH on 20 axle Schnabel car. The journey started in Searsport, ME and ended in Conway at the site of a new substation. After rearranging the consist and putting GP7 573 on the rear, the train is ready to continue its journey to Conway with two F units leading the way.

Lily of the valley, daisy, columbine and vetch.

I picked these little flowers in the afternoon. A perfect gift for the weekend!

The weekend wouldn't be complete without a shot of Ripley enjoying the great weather we had. This crazy toy is nicknamed "face hugger," and is one of her favorites. If you hadn't guessed it, Ripley is named after the character played by Sigourney Weaver in the movie Alien. :)

Have a lovely Weekend everyone Thanks For Your Comments

This was from Friday just as the ice was starting. Later this weekend it got even thicker

It's a quiet Saturday morning at the former C&NW Watertown depot, as Union Pacific's northbound ballast train heads back toward Clyman after dumping 47 of 93 loads on the Clyman sub the previous afternoon. The three big units that took the train south, are setup as boxcars on the rear of the train, while a GP40-2 and GP60 combo came out of Butler to pull the train back to Clyman Junction.

A bit of an experiment. I joined a group called The Weekend Ruiner founded by Mr Vanmoer (frenchbloke.vanmoer). Every week you get random items. Some of them are like movie sets in a way -- like a long hallway missing one wall so you can do a photoshoot. This week I got this house. It's awesome. A cartoon neon house.

I had a body I never wore from the Meta-Body experiment of 2011 called Frame Girl which was all lines. I've always wanted to use that body but it's not exactly something you wear out to dinner. It needed the perfect occasion.

And the umbrella? It's raining in Norway. Nope, I'm not in Norway. I'm in Arizona where the sun is beating down on us. It's just one of those random things that worked for me.

(note: I'll leave it out until Monday night. But Nykus has a landing point. So once you land, look for a round transporter thing and click on 1 to take you to the virtual room or megatrak -- anyways should be 1. Or click this again after you hit the landing point)
