Things we picked up at Thrift Town over the weekend. I especially like the Lady Baltimore vanity case (oops, i mean traincase. i've learned something new today. thanks, joules!), partly because of the initials (M.E.H.) which make me think of the Simpsons.

Last weekend my wife and I were out to Bonavista for a wedding so, as per usual, I went out doing a bit of shooting. The puffins were back in at Elliston and the communal pastures are opened up with lots of horses and cows so there's no shortage of things to take photos of (not to mention the coastline!). These are just a few that I thought were worth posting.
All shot with Nikon D90 and 18-300mm lens.

Misericordia University's 2022 Alumni Weekend was held June 3rd - 4th. It was full of fun activities for alumni who were able to reconnect with each other while also meeting alumni from other class years.
Highlights of the weekend included the Golden/Golden Plus Luncheon, Arch N' Vino, and Dr. Myers giving his first annual reunion address with alumni.

Misericordia University's 2019 Alumni Weekend was held May 31st to June 1st. It was full of fun activities for alumni who were able to reconnect with each other while also meeting alumni from other class years.
Highlights of the weekend included a President Botzman led tour of campus, a memorial mass, an exclusive luncheon to honor the 50th reunion Class of 1969 and several other fun and interactive sessions.
University of San Francisco alumni spread out across campus for Alumni Weekend 2014 at USF Sept. 26-28. There were BBQs, receptions and a special presentation on Women In Leadership and Philanthropy, a new initiative at the university. The event also featured the Golden Reunion for the Class of 1964. After getting through most of McCarthy's The Road; decided to stop myself from finishing the book considering that a The Road is scheduled to hit the silver screen sometime soon. Good book, but I'll finish it after I watch the movie.
As for now, I started McCarthy's Blood Meridian. The horrifying tale of a runaway 14 year-old boy who joins a caravan of blood thirsty bounty hunters. Taking place in the 1850s, the bounty hunters scour the Texas-Mexico border for Indian scalps. Everyone's saying that this is McCarthy's best. A must-read horror novel..
The Alphabet of Manliness... It's pretty much an ABC book, but it's rude and degrading. If you tend to lack a sense of humor, don't bother reading it. It'll just piss you off. If MADDOX's writing leaves you captivated and laughing w/ guilt, you'll enjoy this book. I've pulled this book out a few times at work to get through the hour and it really helps speed up the time.

We spent a great weekend with my mom and dad in Humboldt. We spent some of this time paying tribute to our lost veterans. My dad served as a military policeman in the Greek army and has been a long-standing member of the Royal Canadian Legion.
