Misericordia University's 2022 Alumni Weekend was held June 3rd - 4th. It was full of fun activities for alumni who were able to reconnect with each other while also meeting alumni from other class years.
Highlights of the weekend included the Golden/Golden Plus Luncheon, Arch N' Vino, and Dr. Myers giving his first annual reunion address with alumni.
I spent a great weekend, photographing dances. My main setup was 3 Indra 500's. I set up a 4th light with a wide angel dish and grid way off to camera left. I changed the channel for that light and had a second remote on my D810 with a Sigma 35mm. My hope was to catch the in-between shot when the dancers were thinking about the pose they wanted to do. I only got 33 images with that setup, but I'm digging how it worked out.
2014 HorrorHound Weekend in the Sharonville, Ohio suburb of Cincinnati. The HorrorHound convention is an annual celebration of monster and horror films. We all need a good excuse to dress up and many of us can't wait until Halloween.
This guy was having almost
too much fun. He was obviously having fun and laughing a lot which made looking evil and threatening a bit harder for him, but I think he managed well and I appreciate his working with me to get the shot I wanted.
Since horror films are not really my thing, you'll have to tell me who this guy is portraying.
Check out my "HorrorHound" album for more.
Seton Hall Weekend is a celebration of our community spirit and of the close ties enjoyed by alumni, students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community.

It's the last weekend of summer vacation for those going back to school. Summer went by too fast, but I'm glad it's over. No more allergies! :). I hope everyone has a great long weekend.

This weekend I have read about Tutankhamon and thought a lot about ancient Egypt. We have few toys regarding Pharaohs and Mummies, this one being one of them, painted tin figure.
I ran into Ector as he sat on his bicylcle doing some people watching at the busy six corner intersection of Damen, North and Milwaukee Avenues.
It was a hoppin' Friday night and Ector was just taking it all in.
When I first popped him he gave me some shit... 'what... are you with the CIA or something' he quipped.
I walked a few feet away until I felt the challenge settle in.
I turned around and showed him the picture on the back of my camera.
'Would the CIA have photographers who could take a picture like this' I asked.
'Damn... that's good' he said after checking himself out on the viewing screen.
He said he liked the picture but he thought I could do a little better.
As an expert people watcher Ector had the perfect spot on the corner picked out so I stood and talked with him for a few minutes while I popped passersby.
Ector is quite a philosopher, a poet and an all around interesting cat.
We had some great conversation on that corner.
I kept thinking his name was 'Hector' because of his accent until he told me that there was no 'H' in his name.
Shortly after that his friend 'Ennis' walked up... like 'Dennis' without the 'D'...
'What's up with you guys gettin' rid of the first letter of your names' I commented.
Then I handed them a card... the ones that say 'Viewminder' but not my name.
'What's your name' Ector asked as he looked at the card.
'iewminder' I said 'like 'Viewminder' without the 'V'.
We all laughed... then I popped Ennis and we watched the world go by for a while and talked about everything under the sun.

One weekend, 54 hours, to create new companies, learn things you never thought you would learn, make new friends and grow as a person.
