Nice to wind down the weekend with a nice sunset. Lets say its almost there. The skies and clouds were ravishing this weekend.
Somehow, the clouds melted away around the setting sun. So I had to quit shooting the sunset and turned to a set of clouds at a 90 degree angle (the sun to camera left). The best I could get was stripes of setting sun tipped grass and house tips. So much for the weekend sunset.

Visit this location at Safe Waters Foundation Headquarters in Second Life
If there's one event you must always consider going to then it has to be the Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust's Annual Open Weekend in October. It's an extremely well run and family friendly event with around 180 vehicles to see and enjoy. There are two frequent bus routes to sample the buses plus six themed tours involving up to five vehicles on each. The event is very popular with enthusiasts from far and wide attracting many, like myself, from the south of England!
Anyway, here's a selection of my photos from the weekend, including a few I snapped on the Friday before the event. Well done team GVVT, your sterling efforts are appreciated by many!

During my morning out testing a Tamron 17-50, I took a little coffee break at a cafe in town. The lens seems to work pretty well so far. I sometimes notice minor distortions and vignette but that doesn't really bother me. I actually added a bit more vignette while processing. Anyway, It's pretty sharp and collects lots of light. Most of all, I can get a wider view while still achieving shallow DOF and some pleasing bokeh.
