Misericordia University's 2022 Alumni Weekend was held June 3rd - 4th. It was full of fun activities for alumni who were able to reconnect with each other while also meeting alumni from other class years.

Highlights of the weekend included the Golden/Golden Plus Luncheon, Arch N' Vino, and Dr. Myers giving his first annual reunion address with alumni.

We spend two nights at Mix Lake Campground near Platoro, Colorado along the Conejos River.

Just chillin.

On our last weekend in the country some friends came to hang out with us. I just happened to have the 70-300 mm on the camera and grabbed a bunch of portraits.

2009 Review. The University's Alumni Weekend was, as usual, held at the end of September. Various talks, tours and events were organised and city was packed with alumni reminiscing about the good old days! All very nostalgic:-)

A test shot from my attempt to present as a hostess. I liked this. Just a cheeky shot really and its such a dull day here I thought that seeing it again would brighten up my day

The caper (Capparis Spinosa) is a plant typical of the Mediterranean flora that has been cultivated since ancient times. The first quote of it can be found even in the Old Testament of the Bible.

The capers of Pantelleria are the Italian most precious capers (Capparis Spinosa Inermis Cultivar Nocellara). They are the only ones who received the PGI label (Protected Geographical Indication). Thanks to the combination of the volcanic soil and a warm and windy climate, capers in Pantelleria acquire a unique taste exalted only by their salt preservation.

The collection of these floral buttons called “capers” takes place every year from the end of May up to mid-September. After their collection and preservation by sea salt, the capers are ready to be used in various ways to give more flavour to many courses like first courses, second ones, sauces and condiments. The caper has the power to grant a special taste that enriches food creating very tasty dishes.

An exotic, spicy pair of earrings to take you to a far away place. They are surprisingly lightweight for being so intricate. The colors are right up your alley for autumn too.

The unique frames were hand-shaped, soldered, hammered, and then delicately woven with fine silver wire. The gem pallette includes the following stones: Israeli cut smoked topaz briolettes, rhodolite and hessonite garnet micro-faceted rondelles.

They are suspended from a pair of handmade and secure ear-wires. Each one is decorated with a single stamped Hill Tribe rondelle bead. I try to make all of my clasps, ear-wire, etc by hand before buying pre-made. It adds a special touch to all creations.

All metals used are sterling silver. This pair has been oxidized and then hand and machine polished to a nice shine.

Measurement: 2 1/4 inches from the tops of ear-wires

Weight: 2 grams per earring

Borneon Sikh...Sikh art and culture is synonymous with that of the Punjab region.Sikhs can be easily recognised by their distinctive turban of various styles called Dastar and most commonly there is a trend of wearing perfect turbans among Punjabi Sikhs. Sikh girls, specifically, often have very long, black or brown hair.
