Spent the weekend snorkeling in the Conasauga River on the Georgia-Tennessee border.
Thought for sure there would be crowds filling up the pools and riffles and clouding up the water - but we were the only ones crazy enough to get in the water - it was chilly. Despite the cold temps, this is the time of year to get in the water since the fish are brilliant in their spawning colors.
In addition to fish, the birds and plants are also every shade of the rainbow this time of year. Lots of birds singing on territory - most common were Louisiana Waterthrushes, Hooded Warblers, Black-throated Green Warblers, Parulas, Red-eyed Vireos - and we had a Timberdoodle visit camp one evening.

The Powerbook just waiting for something to burn. This time it was a mix of Foo Fighters, White Stripes, Rob Thomas, Funeral for a Friend, Coldplay, Starting Line, and Gorillaz.
