So a lot of people, especially my photographer friends and contemporaries, ask me if I like doing weddings. My answer is always an unequivocal yes- and to me, this photo represents exactly why.
Sometime later in the reception, the groom and his boys surrounded the bride, and on their knees, serenaded her by singing along with The Righteous Brothers' "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling".
To hang out with my 2nd shooter/good friend all day, share what is arguably the best day of people's lives, and once in a while, catch a moment like this- something that they'll have forever- makes it all SO worth every grunt, groan and sore muscle from trying to get just the right angle, every late night, long day, and marathon editing session.
Do I like it? No. I LOVE it. And I'm incredibly lucky to be able to do it.
I was shooting the bridal prep during a recent wedding and the bride made a Skype video call to her friend in Australia who was unable to make the wedding. This is the exact moment that she got through to her friend.
