Happy Ugly Sweater Wednesday, Flickr!
So I have about $311 $359 $370 towards my new camera.
And the business who told me that they'd hire me when I turned 16 lied and hired someone else. So back to the job hunt. I'll keep you posted =]
I GOT A JOB TODAY =] Minimum wage baby. God is so good =]
This is my friend Molly's mom's sweater. And I wore it to school today. It was great.
Currently looking for songs to sing for my school's cabaret concert. Looking into something from Aida or Lion King.
OH! And I got my license. After failing the first test... Whoops. =]
Also involved in a lot of new Bible Studies. One is called The Truth Project and it's really philosophical. It's all about "What is truth?" and finding it in the Bible. The guy who runs it is very insightful. Also doing one called "On Guard" about standing up for your faith when someone challenges you. Another one is called "Be Intolerant" about, well, being humbly intolerant. I'm so excited for that one. And one more called "Purity & Femininity" about what it means to be a young woman specifically following God. I'm stoked.
Sorry it's been so long. I hate the way my point and shoot photographs human faces. It's disgusting. So expect a few headless shots for a while =]
I love you all.

Below are parts lists from Jameco (and one from Radio Shack). Jameco doesn't have the cheapest parts, but they do have an easy-to-use site, ship fast, and carry just about everything that a weekend electronics geek would need. If you want to really scrimp, shop at Digikey or Mouser, and you'll probably save a few bucks on these parts.
Parts list (from Jameco):
- 1 x Mac mini-din 8-pin cable ($3.29)
- 1 x serial cable with DB9 9-pin female connector ($3.95)
- 1 x 78L05 +5VDC voltage regulator ($0.27)
- 1 x MAX232 RS-232 transceiver ($2.19)
- 1 x green LED ($1.40 for 10)
- 1 x 220 ohm resistor ($0.69 for 100)
- 6 x 1 uF electrolytic capacitor ($1.20 for 10)
And from Radio Shack:
- 1 x prototyping pc board ($1.79)
Luckily I had all these parts in my part drawer, so the actual cost for me was zero. If you've ever done any little projects, you probably have some of these parts laying around too.
ezimba is a web site that can apply different imaging effects.
I used one picture for all the effects just for consistency for comparison. The title for each photo consists of the category of the effect and the name of the effect. Some effects would be better used on a different image. There are some effects also that appear to do the same thing in different effect categories.
Ezimba also has a Facebook app, Google Android app, and a free iPhone app. Please note that the free iPhone app puts a small logo on the edited image. You can buy the paid ezimba app and not have the logo.
