After a mostly dry February, El Nino is delivering a Pineapple Express, a moisture-laden series of storms coming from the Hawaiian Islands. This image is raindrops caught in a web.
I just hope that these strong storms do not create serious flooding and mudslides in the many burn areas throughout California and the Pacific Northwest.
Happy Friday! Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for all of your kind comments -- I appreciate them all.

Happy Web Wednesday! To high to get a decent shot but I thought the colours were pretty amazing in this web! ;0)
A big radial spiderweb that has sustained damage but is still hanging in there. Found at the Adelaide Zoo.
This web caught my eye as the sun was shining off of it this morning. It's very hard to tell scale, but it's about 18" x 20" and is anchored between two trees about 15' apart and also to the ground. Biggest spider web I've ever seen in my yard. I'm just so thankful that no one was home at the time.

Morning Dew reveals a hidden world - the delicacy of Spider webs on hedgerows.
Jurassic Coast at Beer, East Devon.
Jurassic Coast Walk on South West Coastal Path (SWCP), Exmouth to Weymouth section.
One of several spiders we saw on Skyline Drive the other day. The misty fog was rolling up over the ridge (which was very cool to watch) and while it wasn't raining actually all the webs were standing out due to the water droplets. I believe this is an Orb Weaver spider but not sure which one. I tried a quick Google Image search, but honestly by the time I was half through looking at a page of spiders, I was thoroughly creeped out and could imagine them crawling on me. Spiders are interesting and some quite beautiful, as long as they are Outside in Their environment and stay out of My environment! LOL Happy Sabbath and a great weekend everyone! :)
Eufaula Wildlife Refuge, AL, USA.
LARGE is better...see the water drops really sparkle.
The night before we had thunderstorms in the area which provided the moisture for the spider webs that were prolific along the little lane that meanders through the Wildlife Refuge. I caught this one in the early morning light.

Morning dew lit by the low sun shows the webs in all their glory. As though the spent summer flowers were playing the cat's cradle game !!!!
Close-up of this spider with it's meal..... inside the web !

Have a safe and happy day dear Flickr friends !
A tiny spider's web dangles in the morning light hoping for breakfast.
Can you find the Spider?
Thanks for stopping by
This is just about as taken other than a crop and a touch of sepia . A spur of the moment shot after glancing out into the garden and spotting the sun on the web , the sun did move a bit and this is about as much web in one go that was illuminated .
The statue has lived in the garden for quite a few years now , accompanied of course by his Queen - see them in the first comment box .
