The weather forecast announced a snow storm for last night, at least my home town was not concerned. Nevertheless Winter will hopp in with temperatures significantly below zero day and night the next couple of days. Looks like real Winter shots will become reality next week. Hücker Moor, Ostwestfalen, Germany

When I saw the weather forecast for a clear morning, I knew it had to be a shot on the east coast, and decided to go for Dunnotter Castle as I had not been there for a while. I was initially disappointed to arrive and see cloud along the horizon, but think it has added to the shot. Have a great week folks.

Travelled to Clacton-on-Sea to get a sunrise shot with the pier but the fog got there before me. I should have trusted the weather forecast.

The weather forecast did not disappoint and the walk to the top in the dark to catch the winters sunrise hitting Pen Y Fan and Corn du was fantastic a morning I shall not forget.

The weather forecast for today said Rain spreading in from the West and as the hours went by sure enough, the sky filled with more and more cloud eventually becoming completely overcast and looking very drab and set to rain at any minute.

The sleet showers had a negative impact on my plans for the day a short time later.

The weather forecast is perfect for today, warm temperatures and sunshine all day long. Hope you will enjoy this day deeply. Porta Westfalica, Ostwestfalen, Germany

Weather forecast for the hour:

Accuweather = Scattered thunderstorms, Chance of precipitation 70%...

National Weather Service = Scattered thunderstorms, Chance of precipitation 40%...

I just checked the weather forecast and it seems that we might be getting snow in the northern New England region this week, so I think the fall is almost over. It's end of October after all. So I just wanted to share some more foliage color from my recent trip to New Haven, CT. Not sure what tree is that but it has a wonderful magenta color. And since there is a window in the background, i think it makes a perfect photo for a Wednesday upload. HWW everybody!

Weather forecast calls for rain for the rest of the year. A bit of frost caught the light on this maple leaf.

In need of a boost, I purchased Flickr's Priime filters for Adobe Lightroom. This is a gentle Scotland warm filter to which I then added a touch of haze.

But fun to view all of them. And then to adjust to my liking.

Fun morning. Suddenly remembered the little pullout live-view screen.

Bad weather forecast for the following day

The weather forecast on Thursday Morning was for South Easterly winds and clear skies in the Manawatu. But cloud in the Tararua, so I drove over the hill in search of conditions for my Vlog. the skies were clear but there was great light and ground fog. I visited Pahiatua and more specifically the Railway station The Link to my Vlog is above

According to the weather forecast this valley was supposed to be filled with fog on that morning. Here You can see clearly, how much You can trust prognosis like that. With that, my original plan was failed and so I decided to visit one of my favourite trees, the Poelking Pine. This tree reminds me to a preacher speaking his sermonises high above his community. I wonder, what he might have to say to them. This is matching to my feelings, that being in nature has something very spiritual. It’s like walking through a giant cathedral.

I had checked the weather forecast in Moab about a week before we were to leave on our summer trip and it was to be around 100 degrees F and mainly clear to partly cloudy nights. So that was looking good for spending time out in the cooler nights and taking Milky Way captures.

Well, mother nature has changed her mind and since arriving here it has been 15 to 20 degrees cooler than normal for this time of year and lots of clouds and storms. So it looks like fresh MW captures here may be on the nil.

But ... this has allowed for more daytime hikes and excursions at Cayonlands. Yesterday there it was in the low 70's for temperatures, with storms and partly cloudy skies. Hiked the White Rim outlook trail yesterday afternoon with storms very close and took some amazing storm takes with rain falling in the canyon, some with sunlight sneaking in ... was so very cool to see. Other then some light sprinkles, I at least stayed out of the heavier rains.

It was around 7 PM when I realized I needed to hike back and try to get over to the other side of the park for sunset with the mostly cloudy skies but with the look that light was in the western horizon. So I stopped taking those storm picks and made that just over a mile hike back to the car in 20 minutes so that we could get to the other side facing the west.

The sunset there was amazing ... it was pretty in all directions. Needed a bunch of my Flickr contacts there to be there too so we could all be focused in each direction at the same time.

Between the storm picks and then sunset ... my hands were aching from taking so many photos ... :)

But is was worth it. Here is one the many ... many snaps taken last evening.

The weather forecasters are predicting that we might get some winter weather in the next few days, so far we have got off relatively lightly . I doubt however it will be as cold as Arctic Norway this was taken around lunchtime in December and whilst there was no sunlight, the snow does make it appear brighter then I was anticipating . The light has an unusual blueish tone through the short Arctic day .

Although the weather forecast is not too good for the weekend I am looking forward to outside activities regardless if it will be getting the lawn ready in the garden or starting the fishing season. Hücker Moor, Spenge, Ostwestfalen, Germany

The weather forecast was announcing two hours of clear sky after 1 am and so did it. I came to the lake shore, it was rather cold and windy, lit by a nearly full moon. The sky opened and got crystal clear, and the last aurora showed up and passed slowly through the sky.

The weather forecasters were right - we were plagued with rain, drizzle and fog all day long. You can see that miserable cold wet stuff beaded up on this stoic Wilson's snipe's back. At least I didn't have to stand belly-deep in mud.

The weather forecast for the next week does not really declare hot summer days for Northwest Germany. Anyway, temperatures in the low 20s with frequent rain are perfect for nature and hiking, River Weser between Bad Oeynhausen and Porta Westfalica, Ostwestfalen, Germany

Morphing from the geometry cubes, one more!

The weather forecast made it perfectly clear: The stars won't come out tonight.

Still, we wanted to do some night shots of Reine (voted one of the most beautiful villages of the Earth), when all of a sudden this alien green light came through the clouds!

The weather forecast said it was going to be foggy. So I decided to drive up to Edinburgh to have some shots at Calton Hill. In this photo, I stacked 28 long exposures images to create longer light streaks.

It's been a while since I last visited the Edinburgh centre. I noticed the construction of the new St James shopping centre has been completed (Not shown in this photo). Hard to believe it's already been five years since they knocked down the old building. How time flies.

Even if the weather forecast is announcing low temperatures for next week, its not holding it back anymore, the spring. The nature is awakening already and where we saw a deep snow cover some days ago flowers are starting to bloom. The circle is starting again.

The weather forecast deteriorated from being sunny and warm to cloudy and cold but that didn't deter this little dark-eyed junco from looking on the bright side today. Sunny skies are always a rare bird around here in December. On average we only see about 6 days with ample sunshine this month, so don't move here if you suffer from SAD syndrome!

With the weather forecasted to be iffy the entire day, the rains kind of held up and so it was a good time to chase an MRL Laurel- Missoula (LM) train from Elliston, MT.

Here the train led by MRL 4407, a specially painted locomotive to honor our Veterans is seen crossing the Little Blackfoot River on its way to Garrison, MT, where it would stop and do some switching.

The weather forecast was not optimistic, but I thought that after the clear night it might be nice for sunrise after all - I think it was worth it!

Die Wetteraussichten waren eher nicht optimistisch, aber ich dachte mir, nach der klaren Nacht könnte es vielleicht doch ganz schön werden zum Sonnenaufgang - ich denke, das hat sich doch gelohnt!

...wait a moment please, maybe its wrong daytime? I'm sleepwalking again:).

post scriptum: The next day was really cloudy;).

When the weather forecast predicts mist I often find myself out and about early in the morning.

This is the "Tweede Broekermolen" in Uitgeest as the first sun peeks through the morning fog.

These moments are the reason I bought a camera....

Weather forecast in Portugal is a Mess!!!!!

I miss wearing my Havainas, going to the beach, my tops and skirts.. the S un.. and especially beautiful skies to photograph.....

Damn Rainy Monday...

:))*

I had seen in the weather forecast that morning should bring high fog with a ceiling at about 800 meters. So early in the morning I set out for the Geissfluh, which is 980 meters high. In total darkness I climbed up with the help of a headlamp. Around me darkness and fog with a visibility of about 2 meters. Then night gave way to day - but the fog remained. I wandered around to find the sun. You could make out a glimpse of it above me - but the fog wouldn't go away! In the end I had to turn back without having seen a sea of fog... You can't always be lucky!

A single Snowdrop that I processed low key. I had heard the temperatures were going to drop to about minus 5/6 so you can imagine my horror when our heating seized up on Friday and why I had a little blip with my anxiety and which resulted in all the Majorcan uploads as I stayed in my computer room wearing two fleece jackets.. I was on the phone over four hours and only about 4.30 Friday afternoon did I get hold of someone who agreed to come and look the same day instead of the middle of this week.....A lovely kind young man came about 6.30 and did a temporary fix that gave us heating but with a small leak that he is hopeful of curing when he can secure the part he needs which he hopes to get today. Our street is short but unnavigable with the tiniest amount of snow and last week Tesco cancelled our online shop and I am not taking bets on them not cancelling the new order which is due tonight. Jonathan with amazing foresight I think had previously ordered extra supplies of my favourite wine so we have no bread but lots and lots and lots .......

The weather forecast is rain for around here - but maybe they are wrong ;-))

Enjoy your weekend!!
