Miscellaneous
This is a random collection of miscellaneous items that interested me because of their colour or texture or indeed their history. What tales they might tell. This time wood and metal show themselves to be more than just inanimate objects. Once they were beautiful in their own way but time and tide have reversed their fortunes. And they fell foul of man’s indifference.
This was seen at the Bressingham Steam Museum quietly rusting away, it must have been useful once, with it's cogs turning.

For Macro Monday - Wear and Tear
This S6 phone and case were purchased in March 2015 and were used up until October last year when I finally upgraded my phone. It still does everything it is supposed to and is still connected to the network.
The width photographed is 40 mm.
Happy Macro Monday.
I am pretty confident in saying, that for many visitors and viewers, that this old and weathered GMC, is much more than just a bucket of nuts and bolts.
I have added high definition detailing to this photo, to age it accordingly, in efforts to achieve a little more bang for the buck. So to speak. Hope you like it.

"Red pepper is left on the vine to ripen fully and turn red. It has a sweeter and fruitier flavor than green pepper, and is slightly milder in terms of spiciness. White pepper is made by soaking fully ripened red peppers in water, which causes the outer layer to soften and decompose."

The Leyland Titan is a rear-engined double-decker bus manufactured by Leyland between 1977 and 1984, mainly for London Transport.
Matchbox
The London red double-decker bus with an open balcony at the rear was taken off the road in 2005 because it was difficult to access for disabled people and prams. On Saturday, June 22, 2013, the famous Routemasters took to the road again en masse. The vintage bus was first put into use in 1956 and has since become an integral part of the streets of London.
The poems in this poetry album are written in 'Deutscher Kurrentschrift', a precursor to Sütterlinschrift, with a quill pen. No longer imaginable in the digital age and probably difficult for most of us to read 😉.
HMM to all participants 💙💙💙
I've shot this wrench a couple of times in the past for different themes but none ever got posted. Here is the latest that I took a couple of days ago for Macro Mondays "Wear and Tear" theme. Cropped down to the 3" requirement.
Shot with: VOIGTLANDER, 125mm f/2.5 SL, MACRO APO-LANTHAR, shot @ f/4.0, 4 Layer Focus Stack Rendered w/Helicon Focus, (B,R4,S2).
I love creating paper art in my art journal. This one despite a bit worn out has some amazing crafts that I love which have made me keep it and work with it. I call it a "paper art charm".

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !!
Today is a red day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Macro Mondays is wear and tear. I decided, once again, to photograph an old book. I’m obsessed with old and beaten up books. Maybe it is because of my cold, I must admit I feel like the book in my picture. My cold is slightly better but I’m far from being back to my old self… Luckily for me, I will work from home today. I hope, from now on, it will get better. I wish you all an amazing new week !!
Mucho, mucho amor for you my friends !! Have a beautiful day !!!
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!! And see you soon on Flickr !
Our book shelves are really full..... This macro shows, continually pulling them out by the spine is not a good thing.... But shows they are well used...
Two screwdrivers that belonged to my father and a small tack-trim hammer that might be my grandfather's. They are well-worn. I use them all in preference to today’s versions. The screwdrivers have kept their edge for decades without needing much reworking. Their beautifully shaped wooded and rounded handles fit the hand comfortably for hours of use. Contrast with today’s plastic handled horrors that lose their soft steel tips in no time.
For Macro Monday’s “Wear and tear”, single exposure cropped to 2.9 inch wide FOV.

Since I don't play my husband showed me one of his guitars that need new strings. He changes them out depending on how much he plays...generally about every other month. Where the strings look rusted is where the wear and tear lies.

Three seconds long...

The battered glass stone of a steel tension ring that originally belonged to my Mum magrit k.. At one point, it got a little too small for her, and since it's made of steel there's no such thing as widening it easily like a silver or gold ring, so she gave it to me :) My Mum must have bumped against something one or more times while wearing the ring which resulted in this cracked dent that, to my delight, almost looks like a 💗 when seen in close-up; there's also some wear and tear visible on the brushed steel.
And yes, this glass stone is "three seconds" in diameter. Due to the lack of a close-at-hand ruler (and a distinct laziness in fetching it from the desk), I used the seconds marks of my automatic Citizen watch to measure the stone's diameter. The three seconds translate into 4 mm/0.157 inches.
Technical info: single shot illuminated by two LED lamps (left and right) and my LED Lenser flashlight set on "Spot", handheld from above to highlight the heart-shaped "Wear and Tear".
HMM, Everyone! I'll catch up with you later!
