WAHHHHHHHHH we didn't get any snow today. Lots of rain and it was cold so I made a HUGE pot of homemade chicken soup which should keep me going for the rest of the week.

This wisdom of young children is a blessing to all. This is some simple lovely chalk art that was fading away in front of an art museum in San Diego. We all need to stick together do what is right for the next generation, help our planet cool down, clean our oceans and provide the best education to help body and minds. We need kids and kids need us. Do your part -volunteer, donate to a good cause, plant a tree or a garden, reach out to a friend. You are a blessing.

As the sun goes down behind the mountains I just happened to be in the right place at the right time for this photo! I'm actually just 20 feet from my front door! Seen and photographed in Palm Desert, California, looking towards the San Jacinto Mountain Range above Palm Springs.

I found out later that this smoke was caused by a brush fire in Riverside County and is already out.

We Had Him

Beloveds, now we know that we know nothing, now that our bright and shining star can slip away from our fingertips like a puff of summer wind.
Without notice, our dear love can escape our doting embrace. Sing our songs among the stars and walk our dances across the face of the moon.
In the instant that Michael is gone, we know nothing. No clocks can tell time. No oceans can rush our tides with the abrupt absence of our treasure.
Though we are many, each of us is achingly alone, piercingly alone.
Only when we confess our confusion can we remember that he was a gift to us and we did have him.
He came to us from the creator, trailing creativity in abundance.
Despite the anguish, his life was sheathed in mother love, family love, and survived and did more than that.
He thrived with passion and compassion, humor and style. We had him whether we know who he was or did not know, he was ours and we were his.
We had him, beautiful, delighting our eyes.
His hat, aslant over his brow, and took a pose on his toes for all of us.
And we laughed and stomped our feet for him.
We were enchanted with his passion because he held nothing. He gave us all he had been given.
Today in Tokyo, beneath the Eiffel Tower, in Ghana's Black Star Square.
In Johannesburg and Pittsburgh, in Birmingham, Alabama, and Birmingham, England
We are missing Michael.
But we do know we had him, and we are the world.

As a poet, educator, historian, best-selling author, actress, playwright, civil-rights activist, producer and director, she continues to travel the world, spreading her wisdom. The above poem was written by Maya Angelou for Michael Jackson's public memorial at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. It was read by Queen Latifah, one of the many celebrities that paid tribute to the King of Pop.

About MSF
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international humanitarian aid organisation that provides emergency medical assistance to populations in danger in more than 70 countries.

MSF volunteers have a story to tell when they return from their missions, and they use their experiences to speak of what they have seen. For MSF, raising awareness for these populations and the situations they are in is an important task. Whenever possible, MSF volunteers give interviews and make presentations. MSF offices worldwide facilitate the organisation of gatherings, for individuals and groups who want to speak in their home communities. MSF also mounts exhibitions and, from time to time, releases publications, with the aim of raising awareness.
It is part of MSF's work to address any violations of basic human rights encountered by field teams, violations perpetrated or sustained by political actors. It does so by confronting the responsible actors themselves, by putting pressure on them through mobilisation of the international community and by issuing information publicly. In order to prevent compromise or manipulation of MSF's relief activities, MSF maintains neutrality and independance from individual governments. The organisation also tries to ensure that the majority of funds raised for its work comes directly from contributions from the general public. In this way, MSF guarantees equal access to its humanitarian assistance.
MSF has been setting up emergency medical aid missions around the world since 1971.

Peratallada, es un pequeño pueblo perteneciente al municipio de Forallac, Bajo Ampurdán. Fue declarado Conjunto Histórico-Artístico por ser uno de los núcleos de arquitectura medieval más importantes y mejor conservados de Cataluña.
Los primeros datos escritos que se tienen del lugar hacen referencia al Castillo de Peratallada del siglo X, por aquel entonces, perteneciente al linaje de los Peratallada y primera edificación que se tiene referencia del lugar, alrededor del cual, fue creciendo la población.
Hay un personaje que está repetido ... búscalo !!!
