Have a great Monday and week ahead!
First they came for the Communists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Communist
Then they came for the Socialists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Jews
And I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me

Macro Monday: Theme - Belief
Love is the answer, and you know that for sure; Love is a flower, you've got to let it grow.
John Lennon
We are all connected; our soul, light, energy - whatever you call it. Believe in Love - love is the answer.
Whatever your beliefs; be kind. We are all in this together.
HMM!
She was hidden
under a cloak…
like a skin for protection
she moves in and out of the 4th.
Anchors are sewn
into the fabric
threads can be karmic
or naturally impeding.
Diving into Aquarius space,
no clocks needed.
Fear will be left at the door
folded neatly into our baby books.
We have walked, talked, learned
Listening, in the silence
… We remember…
Life is not ending,
it is a process of beginning…
(never ending)
In the chaos rising
we’ll attend to our fires within
knowing each cell is connected
Me to We, to Earth, to All.

Senate Minority Leader and New York Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer’s Washington, DC office was rendered inoperable on August 3, 2017 morning when nearly two dozen people blockaded the office doors, delivering a letter backed by 15,000 supporters demanding that the Senator oppose Trump’s nominations to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the Energy and Natural Resources Act of 2017 (S 1460). - The woman who didn't trust the person that was keeping her on hold for too long on the phone....
- The European visitor that was too tired for the tourist bus ride. Too much fun the night before, too little sleep after that...
- The girl that was tired of promises and was letting it very clear.
- The girl that was worried about something and couldn't wait to get home. But first, she had to finish that phone call.
- The guy that was asking for money to help the New York homeless, and who used his cuteness and charm to try to make sure New Yorkers' wallets would have one less dollar after crossing his path.
- The guy that was listening to his favorite song and still tasting that cocktail he had just had at the bar in the corner.
- The woman that wanted to buy very much and noticed prices were so high she could actually buy very little.
- The lady who had seen and lived so much that no one could ever fool her. Not that anyone would even dare.
- That guy that was trying to get the tourists to ride the tourist buses and who realized times of crisis bring cheaper tourism in the city.
9 people. 9 moments. 9 lives. Perhaps their paths crossed. Perhaps they wished they had. Times Square saw them live the moment and go forward... leaving the end of their stories to our own imagination.

"When we try to pick out anything by itself we find that it is bound fast by a thousand invisible cords that cannot be broken, to everything in the universe. "
—John Muir
“A person experiences life as something separated from the rest -a kind of optical delusion of consciousness. Our task must be to free ourselves from this self-imposed prison, and through compassion, to find the reality of Oneness.”
- Albert Einstein
“The heart sends blood to every cell of the body, and in this way the cells are nourished. The same blood then flows back to the heart. If the flow is obstructed, the person will die. We need to learn this process of give and take from the heart. For the benefit of others, and also for ourselves, we should have the attitude of caring and sharing. We are all links in the chain of life. If one link is weakened, it will affect the strength of the whole chain.”
—Amma
“I think we have to wake up to the fact that everything is connected to everything else. Safety, well-being cannot be individual matters anymore. If others are not safe there is no way that we can be safe. Taking care of others’ safety is at the same time taking care of our own safety. Taking care of others’ well-being is to take care of our own well-being. It is the mind of discrimination and separation that is at the foundation of all violence and hate.”
—Thich Nhat Hanh
“An umbilical cord links you to the sun. Another umbilical cord links you to the clouds in the sky. If the clouds were not there, there would be no rain and no water to drink. Without clouds, there is no milk, no tea, no coffee, no ice cream, nothing. There is an umbilical cord linking you to the river; there is one linking you to the forest. If you continue meditating like this, you can see that you are linked to everything and everyone in the cosmos. Your life depends on everything else that exists—on other living beings, but also on plants, minerals, air, water, and earth.”
—Thich Nhat Hanh

I have read that quote many times and by many different people. From Albert Einstein, Steven Hawking and Carl Sagan to Crosby, Stills and Nash and many other heavy thinkers in between, there is this connection thing that fascinates us humans. I am particularly partial to Neil DeGrasse Tyson’s version:
“The atoms of our bodies are traceable to stars that manufactured them in their cores and exploded these enriched ingredients across our galaxy, billions of years ago. For this reason, we are biologically connected to every other living thing in the world. We are chemically connected to all molecules on Earth. And we are atomically connected to all atoms in the universe. We are not figuratively, but literally stardust.”
That is some serious multi-level connectivity there, and I believe it to be mostly true. Whether it’s Vincent, Nikola, or The Seven Sisters, we all have this connection!

Some of the tangle of power cords, adapters, USB cords, Firewire cables, speaker wires, power strips, USB hubs, Firewire hub, headphone cord, etc., under my computer table. I have since cleaned out and organized, but documented it for posterity. I look forward to my next computer which I expect to have much more in terms of wireless capability... : )
