Small gray gull with red legs. Adult has red bill (younger birds have a darker bill), white head and body, pale gray "silver" wings, which have prominent black and white tips. Abundant across much of New Zealand and coastal Australia, including inland areas around waterways and rivers. (eBird)

"Wow! You finally made it to Australia. Welcome, mate!"

The first bird I photographed in Australia. They were everywhere around the quay, looking for food, calling loudly and generally being gulls.

Locked Waterway in Saint-Marie Among The Hurons located in Midland in Simcoe County in Central Ontario Canada

The Locked Waterway was re-built as a locked canal permitting canoes entry to the mission from the river. The nature and function of the waterway is still in debate. Other theories include it's use in powering a mill wheel or in drainage.

Water goes where water will. Algae, on the other hand, seem to stick together.

Out shooting for my Primordial Soup collection in Alviso, California, I came across this shot of blue water out in the open, but in the little inlet, the algae have blossomed.

Obviously, the main waterway of Venice, the Grand Canal, winds through the city. The waterways four kilometers long and up to 70 meters wide. Separates the six districts and is spanned by four bridges. The most famous is the "Rialto Bridge" (Location for this photo), wich is also one of the most popular sights in Italy.

A classic Nottingham scene, the canal viewed from the Carrington Street bridge.

Nothing special with this photo tbh, just sharing as I very rarely shoot with anything as wide as 35 mm.

Such a beautiful place to just listen to the water and wind away the time.

I was to late to catch the sunrise but fortunately in time for the golden hour to capture this water way in the glorious morning light.
