A beautiful hazy morning on Ullswater, it was one of those morning when you can almost sense that something special is going to happen. I went to one of my usual spots on the shores of Ullswater, set my gear up and waited for things to happen. The first hint of colour started from the left gradually covering the clouds and sky with a stunning pastel orange glow. One of those morning when you realise why you get up early, and stand for a while waiting..

The golden clear reflections in the flooded River Tern, Shropshire - The real tree was above my head, the tree on the left is not a reflection.
Normally would be a bit higher this time of year. The lower waterflow allowed for more fallen leaves here which helped out with the composition.

Die Ravennaschlucht ist eine Schlucht im Schwarzwald. Sie ist ein schmales Seitental des Höllentals, durch das der Bach Ravenna fließt und sich ein Wanderweg zieht; der Weg ist Teil des Heimatpfads Hochschwarzwald. Die ca. 4 km lange Schlucht führt vom Höllental zur höher gelegenen Gemeinde Breitnau, zu deren Gemarkung sie auch gehört. Der Name der Schlucht leitet sich wahrscheinlich vom französischen ravine für Schlucht ab.[1] (Im zitierten Artikel wird eine Herleitung des Namens aus dem Französischen verneint und der Autor legt nahe, dass es wahrscheinlicher der Besitzernamen Rappen und A für Bach war, der zu Ravenna abgeschliffen wurde.)
Der wilde Bach Ravenna bietet auf dem Teilstück durch das Tal mehrere Wasserfälle. Die beiden größten sind der große Ravenna-Fall mit 16 m und der kleine Ravenna-Fall mit 6 m Fallhöhe.
Der Bach bot in früherer Zeit Platz für mehrere Mühlen. Diese finden sich teilweise noch heute in der Ravennaschlucht und sind zum Teil gut erhalten. Am oberen Ende der Schlucht steht die Großjockenmühle aus dem Jahr 1883, die unter Denkmalschutz steht. Bemerkenswert an dieser Mühle ist, dass aufgrund des großen Gefälles der Ravenna das Wasser durch das Dach der Mühle auf das Wasserrad geleitet wurde.

The low point of view downstream from the main waterfall there allowed for getting its reflection. Taken along Falling Branch there in Maryland.
at Caracol, on the edge of the mangrove and in a salt pan, a prowling and wading SNEG sees the camera and strikes the "Yellow Boot Raised Pose (sidelit)..." Well done, SNEG...

a walk between two seasons, the sunny shore of the river feels the Spring, the other shore is still wintering. The smoke comes from a campsite in the forest ahead.../Vårvintern i Nedre Dalälven, det är vår, men vinter dröjer sig kvar vid skuggsidan. A lone angler tries his luck in Alaska's Kenai river. The Kenai is arguably Alaska's most famous fishing river and best known for its runs of giant King Salmon (Chinook).
I didn't take time to fish. I fish for image opportunities nowadays.
The Kenai and Kasilof rivers have the richest teal waters from glacial silt I've seen. As I preferably seek out glaciers and high mountains I've seen many gorgeous teal blue rivers. I could only imagine how beautiful it would have been if enhanced by a bright sunny day, as it was always cloudy during my time here. I do plan on returning some year. Alaska is addictive!
